We had company visiting who wanted lobster. The Lobster Trap was the closest place to us - if we didn't want to drive hours to the coast. We read the reviews and although we had never been it was on our list to try. This is a wonderful place. We went for a mid afternoon Lunch around 1 or 1:30.... More

Went to the Lobster Trap as a child many times and always remembered loving the stuffed lobster. After many years, I finally made it back. The room was a bit warm, I think the A/C might have been off, but I wasn't going to let that deter me from some stuffed lobster. The waitress was friendly and quick. We started... More

Our server was very nice and the food was very good. Our ordered was prepared quickly and was super yummy. My husband had a lobster tail and I had the scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly.

Friendly place where it seems like everyone knew everyone - apparently a favorite with locals and repeat visitors. Food was delicious - we were suffering lobster overload from Maine and stayed with Italian food and other seafood on our two visits. Portions were ample and service was good. It's a great place to get away from the long waits of... More

My wife and I were visiting from CT and decided to celebrate her birthday at the Lobster Trap for lunch. We made a great choice!! We ordered two of the early bird specials, the Baked Stuffed Haddock and the Fried Seafood Combo. Both were outstanding! Fish was fresh and well prepared and portion size was generous. In addition to the... More

Visited as large (20) family group with small children. Needless to say, we were noisy and a bit chaotic. Thankfully, it was a slow night without other customers. All dinners were deliciously and very well prepared. Seafood dinners were as good as you can get. Prices are very fair for the quality and quanity presented. A "Five (5) Star" rating... More

We had a wonderful meal! The Lobster roll was packed as was the Clam strip roll..the early bird special was great including many choices. I had coleslaw and yummy clam chowder (my daughter says the "best ever") and onion rings (homemade-fantastic). Staff very friendly.

It's been a long time since I've had real steamer clams and this was a treat. Real plain - steamers, an excellent hard roll, and a glass of chardonnay. I think the prices are quite reasonable for the place, which seems way out in the country, though it really isn't For a Friday night, it was not packed, but it... More
