This restaurant was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful. Our reservation was mixed up and they figured out a way to seat us even though it was very busy. The food was delicious and literally melted in your mouth. My husband had the swordfish and I had the scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend a stop here... More

This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. Great mussels with peppers. Fantastic Swordfish steak with several choices of sauces to accompany the fish. Excellent deserts.

What a fun place, with great food. The fish is fresh and simply prepared. Make sure you get the sauce sampler for your fish and the calamari for an app. The place is always busy, make a reservation on the weekends.

I wanted seafood in Portsmouth and saw this in TripAdvisor and gave it a try. First I used Open Table and made a reservation for the wrong day. Even thou I did that and the place was busy - the lady at the front desk was able to get me in with only a 20 minute wait. The waitress was... More

The price=quality! Comfortable atmosphere walking distance from our great room at the Hotel Portsmouth. The service, reservation accommodation, and food were highly rated.

Our hotel recommended Jumpin' Jay's because of the atmosphere. It's very casual and modern, so don't go expecting a sea theme. I had Diver's Scallops served with a peach mango salsa that was so fresh and perfectly seared. The corn "relish" served with the meal is slightly sweet, laced with red pepper, onion and some cilantro. Visually appealing and tastes... More

Loved the food here! Fun, casual atmosphere. We had an event with about 40 people and it was smooth and the food was fantastic especially considering our large party. I definitely hope to be back.

Many years went by that I have walked and driven by this restaurant, but I had never tried it before until recently. Overall, it was a good experience. Jumpin' Jay's is good, although I wouldn't exactly rave about it. Many people told me that it was a great place, and I remembered seeing Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel stop... More

Reasonable ambiance, - after all Portsmouth NH is not New York or Paris. Delightful staff, good but not intrusive service. The only problem I had was with something called a Beet Salad. What I received looked like a bowl of arugula. After digging, I found a smear of goat cheese at the bottom of the bowl with a few small... More

If you only had one dinner out this would be the place to go. Great location and great seafood. Can't wait to go back.

The quality of fare is unsurpassed, with fish arriving daily from local fisherman as well as some exotic catches from locations such as New Zealand and Ecuador. Four to six varieties of fish appear on the ever-changing "Catch of the Day" menu, complimented by your choice of gourmet sauce. Our raw bar offers an extensive variety of shellfish found in New Hampshire. Our specialties menu offers more traditional flavor, including Maine Crab Cakes, Haddock Piccata and our popular Linguine in White Clam Sauce. The atmosphere is casually hip, with no pretense.
