Had the Lobster and Crab rolls. Delish! Freshly made. Clean fish market w/a little cafe. Also checked out some refrig offerings and the Apple Cider was AWESOME.

We were in a hurry to buy a quick bite so we stopped in for a lobster roll. It was served on an oversized burger bun and was butter toasted to perfection with a good heaping of Lobster and a bag of Cape Cod chips. Delish!

Originally from NJ, I must admit I was a skeptic about good seafood in NH. I am used to enjoying seafood from the chemically induced waters of the Jersey Shore and knew no better. Sanders Fish Market changed my mind and made me aware how great seafood should taste! The market offers a variety of fish, shellfish and Maine lobsters.... More

Hanging out in Portsmouth for the day, I stopped by Sanders Fish Market for lunch. The place is located adjacent to the short inlet that connects the Piscataqua River and the South Mill Pond. It’s away from the congested downtown area where parking spaces are at a premium. I’d had a lobster roll from here before at a volunteer recognition... More

I am a food & travel writer working for New Hampshire Magazine. I needed a source to make a summer seafood stew. Sanders Fish Market brings its truck to the Concord Farmer's Market. Their seafood was delicious in my seafood stew and the photograph is in the July issue of New Hampshire Magazine. I was thrilled to find a source... More

Every visit to the area, we stop and get crab cakes and chowder for dinner. Delicious! A good variety of snacks and beer too.

Anyone who understands fish markets knows that a delicious smell is one that you don't smell at all. That gave me my first clue as to how fresh the seafood is at Sanders because I smelled nothing but fresh air and soup. We were visiting the coast towns and simply driving. When Portsmouth popped up we drove past Sanders, then... More

I am a regular in Sanders usually buying fish for dinner at least a few nights a week, and it is always fresh. The lobster rolls are made fresh to order and they beat out every other place in town. The price varies, but they are usually around $15.

Have company from Arizona who desperately wanted to feast on steamers. The fish shop we always use was out of them. A local stopped me in parking lot and Sanders steamers were superb. They were excellent fresh and the same price as the grocery store. Before leaving I tried their Clam chowder. So thick I could not reach bottom. I... More

I like to cook fresh fish - fish without the fishy odor. This is my go-to place for always fresh fish. They usually have a wide selection, all the varieties of fish that are landed within a few miles of Portsmouth. The staff are enthusiastic about their product, helpful in suggesting go-withs (they have a few, sauces, marinades, nuts, spices,... More
