Believe me when I tell you I searched high and low to find this place basically in the back of an alley in Bay Village. Nonetheless, it was worth it. Outstanding chowder and lobster bisque. I wish I heard about this place sooner!

It's my favorite place to go, especially in the Fall and Winter months. The chowda is excellent and every bit of a comfort food. They sell cold quarts to take home too. Lobster bisque is also very good.

I'm not a huge chowda fan, am more of a zuppa di pesce type, but this place is a local must visit. Great mid-day eats to get you to dinner, they have a choice of chowders as well as lobster bisque and well represented chicken soup for the non-chowda crowd. I recommend the Manhattan Chowda with a Frank's hot kick... More

If you are on LBI and you don't get a cup of this chowder there is something bad wrong with you! Sure other places have chowder, but theirs is consistently delicious, anytime you come.

It was amazing. Not full of fillers like potatoes, and it is seasoned wonderfully---no need to add salt/pepper. Get the bread bowl.

I have been visiting LBI for 15 years and finally decided to try out the chowder, it's called New England clam chowder but it isn't. NE clam chowder doesn't have carrots in it and the amount of pepper in it is ridiculous. I was disappointed after reading all the hype.

My wife and I were sans children. We wanted a snack. We were walking through Bay Village and saw this place. My wife loves chowder. She got the new england and I got the Manhattan. Both were delicious. Small place but plenty of seating outside in the village. Overall the place and bay village are very touristy. Not expensive but... More

Had a little lunch here, the lobster bisque and it was really good. Reasonably priced too. Would recommend anyone visiting Long Island beach and looking for chowder.

Do the triple play - first a cup of chowder, then the huge slice of pizza from Bay Village pizza, topped off with Country Kettle fudge. Yummmmm!
