Here all the time and one of our local go to spots. Never disappointed, great professional staff and management. And excellent food. Never ceases to disappoint us. Great for just dinner or larger family gatherings. Quaint and beautiful interior.

I have not been to the Bernards Inn in over a year but came tonight to have a fun, ladies night out that I found on a Facebook invite. I was pleasantly greeted with a speciality drink and app menu for the night that completely fit the theme and service was completely up to task. As we were having a... More

We've been (to Bertrams restaurant) several times in the last couple of years. The menu hasn't changed much (if at all) in that time, and it's not cheap. The quality is very good, but not that it could be described as equally good value; it's expensive, especially the wine (but that's the same outrageous mark-up the world over).

I recently met my wife at The Bernards Inn for dinner. It is such a quaint inn. We were looking forward to the evening. We like to dine early. We arrived late afternoon. The restaurant didn't look open. We decided to grab a cocktail at the bar before dinner. There was a big man with his glasses on his head.... More

The menu is always enticing with great seasonal influence and the food is always well prepared. However the service is consistently overly complicated as every attendant has their place in the heirachy. This just means more interventions in the dining experience and adds nothing. Snooty perhaps?

lovely stay; charming old fashioned inn with fabulous restaurant. The rooms and the restaurant are higher priced but worth it if you like the old fashioned . we found the bar menu most attractive. the lobby was terrific

My wife, daughter and I had dinner to celebrate my wife's bnirthday. The impact, when you walk in the front door, is like time has transformed you back to a a 1930s movie set of an elegent, small hotel lobby with instant gracious service. The dining room itself was perfectly set with seating that was private and service that was... More

New York's Plaza Hotel is gone - if you want to see its dining room, you have to watch the start of Hitchcock's North by Northwest. However, its spirit lives on at Bernards Inn. Is it perfect? No, but truthfully, the Plaza wasn't perfect either. But Bernards Inn strives for, and often achieves, something even better: what the Grand Old... More

One of the most expensive restaurants in the area. Had dinner recently. Food and service were good-but I won't go any farther in my admiration. The seared foie gras was great but the lobster entree was so so. The vegetables on the plate were cold underneath and warm on the top. They really get you with their wine offerings. I... More

We had a wonderful dinner recently at the elegant restaurant of The Bernards Inn. There are in fact four different dining venues at the Inn. In one, The Library Piano Bar, dinner is accompanied by live entertainment. The adjacent Great Room is the most elegant of the venues, while the quieter Conservatory is probably best for those who want to... More
