Four of us stopped by while in Cape May for the December candlelight tours. Had drinks (manmosa!!) and lunch during happy hour. The food was good, the drinks better, and the atmosphere and prices were the best.

I would highly recommend The Mad Batter. My friend and I went for breakfast. I found the Menu to be varied enough that there is something for everyone. We had The Swiss Cheese and Bacon omelet which was prepared perfectly with crispy bacon. House batter potatoes with green peppers and onions were so delicious. We also had their fruit breads.... The Breakfast special one day was Lobster and Crab meat Omlet, which was amazing. They served some of the best pancakes I've ever eaten. The bar has live music nightly and the bartenders were very... We enjoyed the 3-6 Happy Hour (and then some) at the bar. Bartenders Mitch and Mike were friendly and great mixologists, making my husband's Old Fashion's perfectly. Music by C. Lynne Smith that evening was perfect for the atmosphere. We ordered the fish and chips and were quite surprised at the size of the fish- two small pieces. I suppose... More
