This is the place to go for brunch. It's quirky, innovative and just such a pleasant place to be! The offers are outstanding, everything from basic eggs to quiche to pancakes, waffles, fritattas potatos bacon ham scrapple Benedict. This has it all! Really outstanding bloody Mary's and much more! Be there!

Came in for dinner and enjoyed the clam chowder (awesome!) for a starter. My wife had the filet and crab cake and I enjoyed the double filet with the junk fries. In the next room and Irish band was playing. We left stuffed and the staff was very attentive. We WILL be back

Could not wait for the next time to visit and here it is! Once again enjoyed your visit. Mad Batter: check-happy hour, dinner and breakfast the next morning. Stayed two nights for the second time so we could really enjoy Cape May. Christmas shopping at the Mall.

We have been coming to the Mad Batter for 30 years and both my and my wife's meals were awful. This wasn't just a fluke, the Tuscan Fettuccini and the Stir-fry were both just plain bad. What made it even worse was that with a beer and one glass of wine dinner including tip was $92. So sad to say... More

Simply the best for lunch as we've been coming to the MB for over 20 years. Although service is a lame duck with less than happy servers hence 4 stars the new England clam chowder soup rocks the house with its take on a light yet savoury broth made with yes lots of butter cream bacon clams and pinchnof saffron.... This place should be on your list if you're looking for a good happy hour spot, but otherwise, everything is mediocre. The service isn't remarkable, the food is average at best, and the decor is drab, especially around the bar area. When I'm down the shore, I want to be around as much sunlight and ocean views as possible. This... More

Visited last week on a recommendation from a friend. Hands down, the best breakfast in Cape May. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The food was incredible.
