This place should be on your list if you're looking for a good happy hour spot, but otherwise, everything is mediocre. The service isn't remarkable, the food is average at best, and the decor is drab, especially around the bar area. When I'm down the shore, I want to be around as much sunlight and ocean views as possible. This... More

Visited last week on a recommendation from a friend. Hands down, the best breakfast in Cape May. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The food was incredible.

What a neat and cozy Place to spend some quality time! The place is well maintained as part of the exciting history of Cape May. It is very clean and inviting. The bar area is attractive and relaxing. Often difficult to get a seat at the bar, however, Dining areas are varied and attractive. One can choose to dine in... More

Had a wonderful 5 course meal at the Mad Batter that included a wine pairing! Food was exquisite, sommeliers were funny and captivating. Service was quick, which is difficult when you're getting a new beverage with each course. Would do this again in a heartbeat.

We were staying at the attached hotel (The Carroll Villa) and we took advantage of the special breakfast voucher. However, we would have paid full price. Their selections were very varied and everything we tried was delicious. The pecan french toast was exceptional.

Have wanted to go here for years, but the lines in the summer are way long. My wife and I were in Cape May over the Christmas break and finally went. I had lunch, Angry wings (fantastic) and clam chowder (ok). My wife had breakfast, Chesapeake Eggs Benedict, with jumbo lump crab meat (loved them). Hope to go back in... More

My husband and I were visiting cape may in the off season for a wedding. We decided to eat here while walking around and we were not disappointed. It's a quaint little place under a hotel in a gorgeous building. The service was great and the food was great. They offer fresh squeezed orange juice which was wonderful. They also... More

This restaurant has great service and food with a selection from modest to mid to up-scale prices with quality to match. It is good if someone wants a less expensive eat, while their friends get something more exquisite. The food was delivered promptly and was hot. It seemed like they used top ingredients. They do have a policy of not... More

Breakfast offerings include fresh squeezed juices, homemade fruit breads, and entrees such as crab benedict, oatmeal pancakes, or orange & almond french toast. Lunch entrees include the Maryland crab cake sandwich, fish & chips, and Waldorf chicken, as well as an assortment of salads. Dinner options are always inventive and the seafood is extraordinary. Entrees include award-winning jumbo lump crab cakes, juicy steaks, chicken and fresh fish specials daily. A sumptuous selection of desserts is made daily.
