Probably the best restaurant we ate at in Cape May. Recommended by a friend, my wife and I called for reservations and were seated right away. From the bread you can dip in olive oil sprinkled with seasoning to the main entrée, the food was exceptional. Trish had the Tuna and I had the crab cakes. I thought I would... More

This was our third time eating at the Mad Batter over the years and it will be our last. We split the spinach salad, which came out on 2 plates and was literally a handful of spinach with the smallest sprinkle of almond and goat cheese. One orange slice on each plate and one strawberry. Next came our favorite, the... More

Great breakfast! The bloody marys and mimosas aren't bad either. They have the best French toast!! My husband got one of their special omelets--I think it had seafood in it. He loved it. Not something I would order but he said it was excellent!

I always take My company too the Mad Batter for Breakfast . The device is top of the line . I love the Chesapeake eggs Benedict and orange French Toast . Our server Barb was kind enough to turn our quest onto other menu selections. The food is consistent and is the servers ! Great job

We stumbled upon the Mad Batter by accident and went in for a drink. We felt very comfortable at the bar and enjoyed the live music which often begins early. The bartenders were great and we had a lot in common to talk about with the Ranger Fan owner. We returned another day for dinner and found the food to... More

This restaurant is expensive but if you get there between 5 and 5:30, the second entree is half off. We are never disappointed with our meal here. We always end up here on a whim and never regret it. My husband got the salmon and said it was great, very different but delicious. I had crab cakes. It was OK... More

One of the best breakfasts my husband and I ever had! Blueberry pancakes with freshly picked blueberries and the croustade with the batter home fries were phenomenal. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious, though quit pricey. I wish there was a restaurant like this in my town! The wait was only 15 minutes. A must go to breakfast place!!!!!

Everything on their menu is great! We have eaten there many times and never been disappointed. Some favorites are their crab cakes, steak, salads, soups, omelets and of course their variety of fish. They certainly know how to prepare tasty dishes! Great service and enjoy their outside deck.

We had a party of 7 on a weeknight, around 9:45p. 5 of 7 were kids. At first, we were told the porch area was not open and then the dining room was closed. We were placed in the bar area where live music was playing. As you can imagine, the noise was not going over well. At an average... More

The Mad Batter has some of the best Eggs Benedicts on the Jersey shoreline. Blackstone Eggs Benedict is always satisfying. Omelets are hearty and filling. You will never leave this restaurant hungry! This restaurant is well known for its breakfast / brunch menu. Worth the wait on weekends for hearty food & generous portions. Although we stopped by for breakfast,... More
