Small and unimposing on outside but cozy with lots of booths like a diner that is attractively decorated. Great service and food. Loved the gyros (best we have had) with large Greek side salads, more than we could eat. Had lunch but still serving delicious breakfast dishes. Takes cash only, and BYOB but well worth the wait to get in.

Charming setting, warm welcome. Was tempted to order hummus appetizer, but I knew the healthy-portioned mains that would come. I ordered the salmon that was expertly prepared and served with a side of pesto, chick pea salad and Greek salad. Greek salad had a nice sprinkling of feta and a dolmade. Hubby had the short rib served over an orzo-eggplant... More

It was a kind of historic type place and the food was good and there were choices for the kids. The decor was nice and the staff were friendly.

Not only was it nice to find a downtown Cape May restaurant open during the week in February, it was a pleasant surprise to find one that was as satisfying as was George’s Place. Open for breakfast and lunch, the menu is somewhat limited, but everything we ate was very tasty. The server was pleasant and attentive. We will definitely... More

Nice menu, breakfast as well as lunch served when we arrived. Husband had Phily steak sandwich w/fries he ate it all. I had chicken tenders, skipped the fries too pasty, I like thin crunchy. Just wasn't in the mood for Greek food but I heard it great.

The Greek dishes here and phenomenal. Everything my boyfriend ordered tasted fresh, authentic, and utterly delicious. I, however, opted for an omelette, and it was sub-par. Definitely stick with what they're known for. Also, the service is spotty, so make sure you're not trying to go anywhere quickly after your meal.

We ate at George's New Year's Eve. We loved it! It's one of the few places that did not have a prix fixe dinner for New Year's Eve. We wanted to eat out in a casual, low-keyed atmosphere and that is exactly what we got, with the added benefit of warm and cosy on the freezing cold night. The food... More

We lucked out in finding this place open. Most of the places in Cape may were closed for the season. We liked that most of there tables are booths. We were luck enough to get one. I asked if they could make me a breakfast wrap without the wrap. It seemed like such a big deal that the waitress had... More

George's place is a fabulous alternative to some of the pricier places for breakfast. The line may be long but it will be worth the wait. Yummy food and nice staff!
