My wife and I decided this would be a great place to celebrate our 27th anniversary mostly due to the location, right on the Hudson River. The pretty delicious looking menu also helped make this choice pretty easy.
And it was.
I started a nice bottle of Pinor Noir, followed with the Char Grilled Wakame Octopus (japanese seaweed, avocado, surimi crab meat,red onion, pickled cucumber, and a spicy aioli sauce) for me. This was as good an Octopus dish as I've ever had. The only thing would criticize is the "surimi crab", which is a fancy name for 'fake crab'.
My wife had the Pretzel Crusted Fried Calamari, (mustard scallion remoulade, spicy marinara) which she loved and graciously allowed me a couple of morsels.
For our entree, my wife had the Grilled Colorado short ribs (garlic confit golden mash, roasted leek "papardelle", one pretty terrific meal, some of which came home with us.
I had the grilled "Churrasco" skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and a side of garlic spinach. Perfectly done at medium rare, this did not make it to doggie bag status.
Since it was our anniversary, we HAD TO have a little dessert and opted to share the Salted Caramel ice cream sundae. (malt foam, chocolate granola, peanuts, butterscotch).
Some really interesting drinks went by our table, so we are going to have to return soon to maybe try some of those, as well as some of the other entrees that looked oh so good.

My husband and I were looking for someplace special to celebrate our combined birthdays and decided on Haven. The restaurant is very nice, elegant and has a really great view of the New York skyline. We had an option to sit on the deck waterside, but it was a bit warm so we opted for a great table by the window. The service here is top notch and the prices aren’t unreasonable. My husband was pretty happy with his Tuna Tartare, salad and side vegetables and I had the Fire Roasted Hereford Short Ribs. Unfortunately, my meal was a bit over salted and way too rich for me to eat. This was disappointing as I only eat meat occasionally and as it was my birthday… we’ll. Anyway, the menu has a great selection so I don’t want to discourage you from going and forming your own opinion. Also, you may want to park in the customer parking lot to avoid paying $7 at the restaurant.

We were visiting our daughter in NJ. Wanting to invite a friend who lives in Ft. Lee, we found this marvelous place nearer her home. Being a DFW resident, it seemed far from Franklin Lakes, but it was all worth the drive. The views were great and must be outstanding in the evening. Service was impeccable though we were the only customers for the first half hour. The food was great. We had calamari and beet for starters and seared salmon, grilled shrimp, etc. A bit pricey but definitely would be back.

Sunday brunch outdoors! It was a nice place, great atmosphere. We sat outside with a skyline view of the city.
We are the traditional eggs Benedict and the southern fried chicken eggs Benedict. Our favorite was the traditional.
The Sunday brunch included a pre fixe brunch menu. We tried the Bloody Mary with our brunch and it was meh.
Overall we would definitely come back!

If it weren’t for the hard-working staff, the exquisite view and the super clean restroom, I would have given this restaurant only one star. My dish - the seafood risotto - was so salty, I could barely eat it. In fact, I only ate the seafood (and not the risotto, because it was drowning in the salty sauce) because I didn’t want to waste it. But the flavor was worse than swallowing pure sea water.

This restaurant provides a great view, great service and great food. $42 for a three course meal. The calamari, sweet potato croquettes and spring rolls were delicious. The shrimp with linguini, and the short rib entrees were also delicious.

Last year, we reviewed this restaurant. We noted that we loved the food and the view and the ambience, but really had trouble with the service. Well, the manager reached out to us with a top-notch professional response, acknowledging the specifics and we were invited back warmly.
We returned early this month and enjoyed the experience immensely. All seating was outside, so, yeah, we got a great view. Service was pleasant and personable and the food was as good as last year. Prices not for the faint of heart, but worth it.
Some restaurants ignore tepid reviews; that's fine. These folks didn't. Their communications were civil and pleasant and there's not much more you can say. I hope to go back again.

We went down the third day of their reopening after Covin 19 closure. Outside tables moved farther apart , more tables added down closer to the river. Food was great, always a tough choice for me. Some many delicious choices. It was nice seeing al the fimiliar staff members, and Craig take care of the operations and always gives you his personal attention.

Perfect evening having dinner outside looking at the lights of Manhattan. I've eaten in many of the waterfront restaurants on the Jersey side, and this is currently my favorite. Service was excellent, drinks were inventive, food was universally enjoyed. My wife had a delicious Fillet Mignon. I had a lovely Branzino, and my son enjoyed his pasta and shrimp. We also thought the short rib brochetta was outstanding. When they found out it was our anniversary, they brought complementary glasses of Prosecco. Class act.

We went here for dinner saturday night....we ordered the around the world oysters, firecracker shrimp, short ribs and lamb shank. The food and the view is simply amazing...the service was great and the drinks were amazing.

Haven has been my favorite restaurant since it opened. The food, the view, and the service were excellent. I took two associates for lunch today and was very dissappointed. Maybe I should not have ordered short ribs for lunch. It was two pieces of dry stringy meat covered in A1 type sauce. One piece was almost all fat. The other two entrees were OK.
For sure last nights left over with sauce.
Even the super good dessert and coffee did not compensate. I was wondering if ownership and/or chef has changed. It is a shame to see; a restaurant go down so drastically

I am so sorry to hear about your disappointing lunch experience while dining with us recently.

We had a quick lunch on Friday, March 19th before rushing off to an appointment in Newark. Our waitress Desiree was a great help to us, getting the order processed quickly and getting our check to us ahead of time. Also really enjoyed the crispy chicken sandwich and the impossible burger. Would definitely like to go back and spend more time there. The setting is lovely!

Excellent!!! sums it up. From parking to staff, service and food. I booked a valentine's dinner there and it was great. The only draw back is, we felt rushed. It seems like they were heavily booked and needed tables to accommodate other appointments. Beside that we enjoyed our food and our experience there.

It was our anniversary and I called ahead to reserve a table indoor but with a good view. Once we arrived we used the valet parking and it was a breeze. Inside, the manager acknowledged our anniversary and seated us by the window (wonderful view!). We had to bring our daughter as well, and she has a cheese issue and the chef was amazing to accommodate it. I had a mango margarita and it was delicious. The place is upscale and quiet. I saw many families at the outdoor tables and my daughter joked they keep them outside for the screams.
The food was divine. I had the buttata appetizer and it was so good. My husband had the oysters and he commented my appetizer was better. Then we had the filet mignon with roasted potatoes and mashed lobster potatoes. Both dishes very good.
The dessert was outstanding. Delicious apple cobbler, chocolate mousse so airy and my crème brûlé was also delicious.
Definitely pleased with everything.

I was really Looking forward to a good meal with a view of manhattan. The view from the restaurant is the only thing that's truly attractive.
For a one hundred and eighty dollar brunch , I have to say that I was truly disappointed. I have enjoyed better eggs.Benedict And more generous portions. in many a New Jersey diner..As opposed to this brunch. If you don't mind $14 Cappuchinos, and a very loud atmosphere filled with ambient noise, then this restaurant is the place for you.
