On Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we stopped at Jake's for lunch. Although it looks like a sports bar from the road, it has a linen tablecloth restaurant on one side, the other side is a sports bar, of course. The entire state of New Jersey must have gone to the shore, so we almost had the place to ourselves.... More

I have eaten here a couple times for a business luncheon, recommended by my customer. It is a bar - dark, not much on decor. The food I have had here the 2 times I have been were excellent, creative and reasonably priced. Vegetarian friendly. I was so surprised. On my own I never would have stepped foot in this... More

More unique and tasty menu, with all of the traditional foods you love. By far the best food to eat with a quality drink in your hand in the area. The bar is very crowded in the evenings, but is great for a midday or afterwork drink.

Very good food w/ gluten free options. Basically two different restaurants in one. On one side of the restaurant, there is a sports bar with televisions and music. On the other side, there is a finer dining area, which can be suited to parties or family get-togethers. Very friendly waiters, that create family environment.

Don't let the fact that "Tavern" is in the name fool you. They have a lovely dining area with cloth linens AND a separate bar area. Arrived at 6:45pm on a Saturday and waited about 30 min for table. Worth it? Yep! Wide selection of American fare from yesteryear. Most dinner entrees (steak, chicken, fish) were about $25. We ate... More

Just left a review for a lunch place in New York City and heading back home in NJ. Decided to go back to a place we have not been too for several years. We learned a lesson. Place was busy but the promised 30 minute wait was right on and the food fantastic. Great service. Asked server about a special... More

We were staying at a Ramada Inn across the road and decided to go there to eat, we had had a long road, and we were very tired. I started with French onion soup it had chunks of garlic in it!!! I like garlic but not chunks of it in onion soup. I had as a main course Caesar salad... More

Good food, nice variety of American food entrees and great service - could you ask for much more? Started off with Cosmos that were fantastic - just enough vodka, cranberry and lime for the perfect mix of sweet and tart. I ordered the Salmon, hubby had a steak - both cooked just right and we shared a decedent dessert. Will... More

On Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend we stopped at Jake's for dinner. The place was packed! Lots of other people must have had the same idea. Fortunately there always seemed to be a table or two opening up. We had these spicy chicken sandwiches which were new to the menu. They were quite good. We went with sweet potato fries. Jake's...
