Complete Mexican cuisine ranging from the basics and traditional to local specialities and spices. Several of the creamy spicy dishes include shrimp which is one of our favorites. Staff is attentive and friendly. Many locals return often. Slightly pricey.

Enjoyed a nice valentine's dinner here. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The place was clean and cozy. They do not have alcohol on site but it is byob! Food is pretty authentic and the portions are aplenty

Really high quality Mexican food. They have a different spin on the typical quesadilla were used to but it was very good. We also had a chimichanga and a chicken fajita. Both great. Was a little pricier than I'm used to for Mexican food but still worth it.

Visited here on a Saturday night-very casual. BYO. Moderately busy. Service was just fine. Food was OK. But here's the rub. The place seats about 50 and the menu has 25+- things on it. Far too many dishes for a small place. If they would cut their menu in half and make what's left better, it would be a far... More

We had a wonderful lunch here. It was a week day special of soup, salad and entrée for an incredibly reasonable price. We both selected the avocado soup which was absolutely excellent. The salad was fresh and tasty and the entrees were delicious. We would definitely eat here again when we’re in the area.

Food was amazing. Everything authentic and delicious. I had the mango salad with orange pieces, walnuts and mango dressing. Topped it with grilled chicken. Starter was the black bean soup. The rest of our table choices were burrito, sopas, fajitas and the papaya salad. All delish. One dessert was wow (ice cream caramel drizzle over fried shells) and the other... More

We ate with 4 of our friends. Evan, the waiter, was a delight. The food was very good. We all tried different things. We will definitely return to try more.

Great place, and little alcove is very quaint and romantic...little tight though. Service was better than expected based on other review, not great, not bad. The main thing...the food was out of this world. Will definitely go back. Strange though...order a soda...and it comes in can form with glass of ice.

Good, sit-down Mexican food. Service is hit and miss. Pricey for what it is... $20-25 / person. BYOB.

We visited Frenchtown on a bright and very warm Saturday. We come to Frenchtown about once a month but had never eaten at Cocina del Sol. We sat outside along side the building and enjoyed the sun. I had recently decided to go on a diet and wanted a lunch of vegetables, rice and beans. Who else in Frenchtown would... More
