The scotch egg is my benchmark of a good pub, and theirs was quite tasty. The fish and chips was good as well

Came here with friends after seeing a news report on the place, where the reporter touted the fish and chips, and decided to try it. Very disappointing. First, there was no one to seat us when we arrived, because the hostess was in the restroom...More

Met a friend for lunch - hadn't been here for over a year. Ordered fish and chips for old times sake, as my husband was a Scot. Portion size cut by more than half and price the same. We used to be happy to pay...More

The British Chip Shop is great for dinner, but be sure to stop in Sunday morning for a tasty brunch menu. The wife and I have tried several of the offerings. The last visit found the wife ordering the Rasher Fraize (Bacon Pancakes served with...More

Restaurant smells of cooking grease. Ordered the fish and chips. Fish was ok until the end which became soggy and fishy. Chips were thick and way overdone. Was still hungry so ordered the bread pudding. That was ok.

This is my 3rd visited to the British Chip Shop. Ordered the chicken and chips. The chicken was very juicy yet the crust was not crisp. In fact it was soggy! The chips were not good at all. Terrible quality of potatoes were used. IMHO,...More

My wife surprised me for my birthday and took me for lunch. Being a Brit I was excited at the prospect of having some favourites and seeing how the food was. I ordered the scotch egg to start which was OK, despite being served with...More
