We dined at Bahrs on the Wednesday after 4th of July and arrived about 6pm. Surprisingly it wasn't crowded and got a table at the window with a lovely view of the water. Our waitress couldn't have been any nicer. The drink order was served...More

Met with friends for lunch and drinks. The sliced beef sandwich was great! Much more than expected. The dipping sauce should have been served in a glass so I could drink it. Plenty of food. Great view too.

Exceeded our expectations: loved our window table with a view of the water and boats and the kitschy nautical atmosphere. We had the french dip, fried shrimp, clam chowder, shrimp salad . . . and enjoyed it all. Great waitress. Is the food Michelin-star worthy?...More

The location is nice, with outdoor seating next to the water. However, the food ranged from mediocre to terrible. The potato pancakes tasted like they were microwaved. The swordfish was mediocre. Our friend's lobster tail was raw on the bottom, and the filet mignon was...More

We had a family celebration here. The mussels are absolutely huge and very tasty. The corn crab chowder was so very good. I had steamed lobster. It was better than any I have had in a long time, even in New England. Cooked perfectly, served...More

I called Bahr's, 732-872-1245, and they told me that virtually all their menu is gluten free due to the number of seafood items they serve. Even their chowders and bisques are gluten free.
