As it happens, not only are these people the same as those who used to run a popular restaurant in my Indian city of Pune, but even the cashier is the same. He recognized me after a span of some forty years since my studenthood. This "dosa" house is a no-frills dosa house, the best on Newark street, Jersey City-which has... More

We enjoyed the food Ganesh's Dosa house. Taste was awesome. We went on weekend so it was busy. We got our orders very late. Otherwise everything is good

Beware, this place is a nightmare from a car parking perspective. Utter chaos all around. Food was good. Sambar should be called rasam due to its texture. I tried the gonghkura dosa and it was very nice. The place is pretty small and be prepared to peek into your neighbor's plate.

If you are craving for authentic south Indian food this place will be a good bet for you. I like spice little bit so we ordered Maysore masla dosa and masala idli, that was really very good. They serve Thali also which you get get in just 10 bucks. I would definitely recommend this DOSA house. In terms of seating... More

We went for lunch. Had chilly bajji, dosa, chutney and chat. The eat out must take more care for hygiene, because the next day we had stomach upset and diarrhea.

The menu is not extensive, but there is enough there for most people. My daughter and I had dosas, my wife had uttapam. There was plenty of dahl available too. It is a bit rough and ready, it is very popular and can get very busy meaning you have to clear the table yourself sometimes and it can get a... More

We were there on a Monday afternoon when it was not crowded at all. The rava dosa was awesome except I felt I should have requested less spicy with lesser mirchi. The Mysore masala dosa was crispy and awesome and makes you feel very heavy. The Utthapam was fine too. But, the best part of the lunch was Yogurt rice.... More

I am sorry I disagree with the general high opinion of this place. I would have forgiven the unpleasant temperature, the lack of cleanliness, the taken-for-granted service if the food we had was good. I find it difficult to believe that one can totally mess up a dosa - but on this day, for my wife and me, they did.... More
