It's kind of a tradition for us, if we are flying out out Newark Airport, we will stop here for lunch or dinner. This restaurant does not disappoint. The food is great and the portions are huge. Heavily recommended.

I believe their were two waiters there on Saturday night. Slow would be a compliment. I had to ask for my bill more then once. The waiter was never there and we had to flag someone down to get more water. Clams Casino were good...More

I love trying new foods, so I hunted down this restaurant, made my way there and at 11 AM, they were closed. Stupid might filter to the food too. Fix your listings! If you're thinking of going here, you might want to call. They obviously...More

We went here thinking it was a Portuguese restaurant but it remains that only in passing...the main Portuguese dishes were NOT on the menu: duck rice (arroz de pato) or bacalhão natas or espiritual/ or even pasteis de nata!! We were told these traditional dishes...More

I had a Sunday afternoon dinner with an old friend during a visit to NJ. We had a large platter of seafood, and a pleasant wine from Portugal. The portions were large and the price very fair. I will be back on my next opportunity.

Dinner we ordered a large platter of seafood, fantastic selection and very fresh. The restaurant is easy enough to find, clean with a Portuguese flair, like the blue tiles on the walls, will go back soon.

With the good reviews. And I may try again because of them, BUT we had the worst dining experience that I can remember in a long time. Sunday evening and all you heard from any waiter or employee you could flag down was how busy...More

It is as safe as any other urban location. The Ironbound section has several restaurants that are accessed via Newark Penn. Ferry Street takes you there.

It's a hike from Penn Station. It's on Ferry St. Not difficult to find. I don't know exactly how long it will take you to walk or even by car as it depends on the traffic and time of day. But you'll see lots of interesting... More
