Saw the ad that they are under new management with an exciting new menu which they posted. Have eaten there numerous times and the food was always good but poor service. Couldn't wait to try the new menu as there were many "intriguing" new items! Much to our disappointment, they changed the menu a week after posting their "new" menu...removed... More

I had a shower booked here during the period when the restaurant downstairs was closed due to reorganization of management and renovations. I panicked upon learning of the closure only days before my event but was reassured by management that everything would be in order. They delivered beautifully! Banquet was decorated nicely, food served was plentiful and tasty, staff went... More

We stopped here for a drink before we went to a close-by BYOB restaurant, we sat on a bench waiting for some friends and a place at the bar. One we snagged two barstools at the corner we failed at getting the barmaids attention for 15 minutes, not a good first impression....it did not get better. The saving grace was... More

Large restaurant, multi level that lacks any real character/motif. Ambitious effort at trying to balance a menu and service that can cater to a sports bar crowd and a sit down dinner crowd. Reminded me of a Bennigans/appleby's at a premium price. Food and server were both average. Place needs some management improvement.

709 has a great location right in the middle of town. It has a very nice bar and some really cool water sculptures in the main dining room. But they're kind of all over the place. Are they a bar? A sushi place? Fine dining? or Pub fare? Hardwood floors make it noisy. High tops are a bit uncomfortable Overall... More

My wife and I came here for our first night out after having our little boy. I'd been here multiple times years ago and it was awesome. This place has really gone downhill. We had mussels as our app come out cold. I have never had to send anything back in my whole life. It seemed to not come as... More

I don't know what happened to this place. This was our 3rd time and will be our last. Tonight we had French onion soup that was so terribly salty we didn't even eat it besides the cheese on top. I ordered the clams on the half shell which advertised as "middleneck clams". They were so small wasn't worth the $1.75... More

We arrived at Happy Hour to a crowded bar scene - but we were there for a late lunch. We waited longer than expected for the hostess to seat us and then waited some more. We chose this place because we had had a positive experience in the past. However, this day was not a good one. The drinks finally... More

I'm local and always had the impression that 709 was a good, upscale place. To be honest I haven't had such a disappointing meal in a long time. Simple calamari appetizer was way undercooked, salad was so basic with almost no toppings, service was friendly but ridiculously slow. Our fellow diners were having similar experiences... tables were talking to each... More

Okay, really haven't been here since the original chef left with his creations. Came here on a Tuesday night for 1/2 price sushi and happy hour. The drinks were good, sushi was good and the bar was packed. I am a local and have never liked the dining room from the beginning. So, if I am not at the bar... More
