We were doing some snowshoeing in the nearby Castle Mountain area, and needed some refreshment afterwards. It's quite a spacious store. Beside groceries, they sell baked goods and other food, along with crafts, and even flies for fly-fishing. Staff were very friendly, and the pastry items we got were very tasty.

We recently purchased a cabin in the area and discovered this gem right around the corner. Wonderful staff, a great place to shop for local made gifts and products, and the most amazing sandwiches. Order ahead, sometimes they can get quite busy. It's worth the wait. Our favorites are the philly cheese melt and grilled turkey. Admittedly, those are the only two we have tried because we love them so much. When on your way home from a day at Castle, don't miss this place.

Stopped here for lunch and gas.I was pleasantly surprised at all of the new changes.
We each had a BLTC sandwich and a pop and it was one of the best sandwiches that I have ever had !
We also bought some wine and they had a great assortment and prices !
I would definitely recommend this place to all who travel through here.
The staff was great friendly and helpful and I liked the Items that were for sale.

The Beaver Mines General store is a must see stop if you are headed to Castle. They have gas, snacks, gear, beverages, and quality sandwiches. I highly recommend the Monreal smoked meat sandwich if you stop in. Its also good to fill up here since there is no gas at Castle Mountain and there is a singnificant drive if you are seeing any of the other attractions in the Castle Provincial Park.

I needed to get my blood sugar up after a day out skiing and so glad I stopped here. Super tasty ‘healthy’ cookie :) It made my mouth smile and my blood sugar too. Nice staff. Great pit stop before the drive home. Will stop here again. Great variety of snacks. Cheaper gas too!

Just had a really great lunch at Beaver Mines General Store. A build your own roast beef sandwich and pulled pork pretzel bun. Both were excellent. Along with a glass of wine and a beer. We always drop by the General Store for supplies and gas, this was our first lunch and surpassed our expectations. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks Ward and Jeff!

The store has everything you could think of & more. Stopped for lunch & the young girl with glasses making our sandwiches was wonderful. Super friendly & always smiling. She made our visit even more special. Will b back next summer

Has everything you need in a small community. Little bistro (skip the paninis according to others). Can get slowed down if it's busy

Went here to grab an ice cream on the way to the lake and use the facilities. Very clean a lot of variety including alcoholic beverages gasoline as well Very friendly people
