If you’re looking for elegant dining you’re in the wrong place. If you want great seafood this is it. Kind of a gritty old place but really, who cares about ambiance when you can get clam chowder this good. The rest of the menu isn’t...a list of healthy choices but wow is it good.More

W go to Sitty's every so often, skipping yeras here and there. The raw bar is good, the menu varies every decade or so and the atmosphere thankfully never changes. it is a shore stable wuth acceptable food. It almost always busy for good reason.

The Clam Bar is a long-time favorite of ours in Somers Point! Good food, menu and friendly atmosphere are perfect for after the beach or anytime. We always look forward to a steaming hot cup of clam chowder. A seat at the “bar” is our...preference - there may be a wait for a stool, but always fun to talk with other guests.More

From a dedicated local (born and raised): Thank you Smittys for another great season! Glad the Shoobies are gone; sad that you will be closed! Always next year!!!!!

This very popular place is the best. You can BYOB and the food is exceptional. The only down side is you will have to wait but it’s not so bad when you can drink while you’re waiting. It’s definitely worth the trip and is ultra...casual.More

We've been going to Smitty's for over 30 years during our annual pilgrimage to OCNJ. They never disappoint! Except sometimes the wait is long, since everyone knows where to go for great seafood at reasonable prices! Thursdays they have awesome baked potato skins filled with...lobster, crab, and more...an annual favorite!More

Had to wait 25 minutes even on a weeknight in September- but it was as good as ever. Clam chowder , red and white is excellant- loaded with clams and vegetables. Fried seafood combination is a huge amount of food- only complaint was the crab...cakes-mostly filler !More

Pros = Excellent food, reasonable pricing and decent service Cons = so popular that long wait times lead to folks tailgating in the miniscule parking lot This place offers amazing food. It is priced for them to sell and some specials do sell out before...the night is through. Because it is so wonderful, it is very popular. Popularity leads to very long wait times. People seem to have decided that it can be fun to pass that time by tailgating in the parking area. Of course, you're still right by Ocean City and so even tipsy folks are polite and respectful that there are kids nearby.More
