We had dinner with friends on a Friday night. They do not take reservations, so try to get there early, put your name down, and wait outside. We had hoped to sit on front porch, but took first available seating inside. Very friendly servers. We...started with a cocktail, then enjoyed our dinners. I had the broiled scallops, my friend had the petite filet, and our husbands had the lobster francaise. Very delicious! We like the Anchorage. Always a good choice!More

Had a great Saturday afternoon lunching at the Anchorage. Super friendly and organized. We waited for the porch and did not realize how much I missed oyster shooters! Crab dip and Bloody Mary special was fabulous.

A 45 min wait. Worth it. Had Fried Shrimp and Broiled Scallops. Choice of salad/dressing, warm bread and butter and ice tea. Came with our Yorkie (in stroller). Best food ever. Thanks to great server Courtney. Will definitely return and spread the word. Cost for...2 with ice tea $45. Ample on-site parking.More

Visited Anchorage tonight as part of an attempt to relax and forget the mess we’re in. After reading reviews and knowing we could go early (4:45) or later (6:00) we planned for earlier. Good call, seated within 10 minutes. Service was amazing. Bartender and waiter...were engaging and helpful. Ordered an app - calamari which was perfectly fried with a delicious sauce and the Seafood mix of steamed fish (shrimp, scallop, clams, mussels, and Mahi over linguine. PERFECTION! So delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Also, can’t discount their abllity to make you forget we’re in a pandemic but still make you feel safe. Truly wonderful visit!More

They have added outdoor tables in addition to the porch for dining. The food is always the right temperature and well plated, and the owner checks each table to make sure you are satisfied. We have had many seafood dishes over the years and have...never been disappointed.More

The Anchorage Tavern is a restaurant in a building that was built in 1874, and was first opened as a Hotel in Somer's Point, New Jersey, 5 minutes from the entrance of the Ninth Street Bridge - the bridge that connects Somer's Point to Ocean...City. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, its already spacious balcony was extended to accommodate more customers. Its balcony was subtly built to offer a wonderful view of the marina and bridge. On a Friday evening, we were given a one - hour waiting period, after which our cell number was called to alert us that a table was free and it was our turn to be seated. I ordered the Seafood Milan which was quite appetizing. The seafood was cooked to a perfect texture, and the taste of the cream sauce was well balanced, which gave the overall meal a great taste. It was served with garlic bread, topped with melted cheese. My fiance had the 'Hawaiian Grouper' which was cooked with teriyaki sauce. This meal was also flavorful. The ambiance was quite cordial. Awhile after I was seated, a gentleman came by and asked if our order was already taken. One family, celebrating a birthday, invited us to stay longer to partake in the celebration. One diner at another table, engaged in a conversation with us when they realized that we were from New York. It was an enjoyable evening. Considering the changes that were implemented due to the Pandemic, there was still a wide variety of menu items that were reasonably priced. The history and popularity of this restaurant may be a reason why this restaurant is able to maintain the service that it executes. On the wall are posted famous people who dined in the restaurant, including 'Bill Haley and the Comets'. I wasn't surprised to see a certificate of excellence from Tripadvisor in 2015 also posted on the wall.More

The Anchorage did an awesome job with our meals last night. Called in the order and drove thru to pickup. Meals were ready in under 30 min on a Friday night and delivered hot. I am impressed that their whole menu is available. The Hawaiian...Grouper was a favorite this year and the crab bisque is always yummy. Impressed at how they adapted to these crazy times.More

Local Tavern & Restaurant. Older building, atmosphere was festive, food & drinks were excellent. Our mixed drinks were made properly. Dinner was excellent, good portions, recommend the Mozzarella Logs, Seafood & Chicken Francaise.

Yes, during the summer months there is a long wait. Depending on how large your party is, you might want to see if you can make a reservation.

Sorry I don't work there. You will have to call them directly to check on reservations. I would do it right away since that is a busy holiday weekend.
