Delicious flavors, not bad price/portion ratio, friendly atmosphere, awesome decor, good options in both drinks and food, but be careful if you go later in the evening ... Last time I went, the flavor was delicious, but my venison was overcooked to the point of near burn.

The food is always consistently delicious. The maultaschen, something not usually on German restaurant menus, is a must as an appetizer or entree. The early bird prix fixe offering is a wonderful bargain. The atmosphere is warm and not noisy. Service is attentive. My wife, who is a native German, and I have been enjoying meals here for over 40... More

The extensive menu made it difficult to decide what to eat! Started with the pretzel that took the hunger pains away. Then the soup really hit the spot. The meals were delicious and just enough to leave room for dessert. The dark chocolate item was not a hit though.

We were here on the last night of Oktoberfest with a group of couples. Sticking with the German theme, we all ordered appetizers off the menu to share. Everthing was quite good as were all of our meals. My husband and a few others did not particularly like the potato pancakes as they felt they could have been from Dunkin... More

One of my husband's favorite restaurants. Come here for the buffet every Friday. There is also a seafood buffet on the first friday of every month, although I've never tried it. The staff is friendly. You never leave hungry. Good German beer.

We went to The Black Foredt Inn on a Friday night, which also happened to be a buffet night. (There is also a seafood buffet presented the first Friday of each month.) Angela, the hostess, promptly seated our party of 6 in the main dining room by the fireplace. A piano player was providing holiday tunes quietly in the background... More

I can't remember the last time I gave an excellent rating, if ever. We took foreign visitors to the Black Forest for dinner and had absolutely delicious meals with very friendly and warm service. I wanted to give my Canadian friends an exceptional evening and the Black Forest delivered.

My wife and I visited, to celebrate our anniversary, on a recent Wednesday night. It turned out to be a pleasant evening. The food was good and the service was excellent. My wife had the potato pancakes for an appetizer and the schnitzel a la Holstein for dinner while I had the herring for an appetizer and the jaeger schnitzel... More

We went this past weekend for a birthday dinner. Excellent food and excellent service. Although we are local , we had never been here before. The Oktoberfest celebration was going on and it was alot of fun with the music and people dancing and singing along. Would highly receommend ! We will definitely be back !
