The atmosphere at The Black Forest Inn is very nice, the service is top notch and the food is very good. For the most part this is authentic German fare with slight variations on some fish dishes. They have a buffet every Friday evening that is in line with its standard dishes and a seafood buffet the first Friday of... More

The chef is from Germany! Although some popular items (onion rings, wings) may be included on the menu to give patrons a choice, the German dishes are quite authentic! Bavaria and Austria do not make up all of Germany, nor all of German cuisine. The Schnitzel is done to perfection, and the Maultaschen are fabulous. I am a German teacher,... More

The food, although a bit expensive, is outstanding and worth the price. We like to regularly visit for a relaxing lunch where we can have a quiet conversation over a great meal in a beautiful environment. The wait staff is very helpful and attentive. If you are looking for a great German restaurant, look no further!

Upon entry and being seated, the restaurant presents a very nice atmosphere. We were greeted pretty quickly, and since we had a party of eight, they provided two waitresses. The menus were given to us, and the prices were very high. I ordered lobster bisque as my appetizer; it was okay, not the best I've ever had, but I was... More

The meal was fantastic. We have traveled the world and know some incredible restaurants. This place should be rated with the world-wide restaurants. Walking in you are greeted by friendly faces. The motif is something from Octoberfest, and they pull it off. We had the fish and were totally satisfied. The meat dishes are suppose to the their speciality. If... More

Greeted at the door as always. We went in for the early bird special on a Friday. Sat right down had big glass of German beer. Everything flowed fine, the food was authentic and very tasty topped with a delicious dessert. Really enjoy this restaurant and highly recomment it. Service was just right..

I love hoing out and having a wonderful dinner. If I spend more that's fine if I have a good meal. Well the sea g ood buffet at this restaurant has gone downhill. It was once very good. They have raised their price and for what? The lobster was cool. If you wanted hot butter you had to pour it... More

A few years ago my wife and I ate here on a trip to the area. We enjoyed it enough to return the very next night. And we planned a return trip this year. German restaurants are not very popular these days, which I regret. The decor is wonderful. It definitely feels like a step into another time. The decor... More

We live about an hour away, and so don't get there that much, but we always enjoy the service and food. I think their German specialties are quite well done, but they also have other entrees that are excellent. The ambiance is that of a German restaurant, and so everything fits together. My wife and I shared a flammkuchen appetizer,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed spending NY's eve at the Black Forest! The "old world" décor is wonderful and the staff is warm and friendly. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant, the four people in our party were very pleased with every part of our meals. I had the roast pork, definitely the best pork I have ever had! The others... More
