One of the consolation prizes of a 5 hour drive to visit my in-laws is being able to stop at a fine kosher restaurant on the way. We'd met them here before, somewhat in between where we all live, but this time we were on our own. It was a delicious, unhurried meal - we were probably the first of... More

If you want a great kosher steak and don't want to travel into NYC, check out Nobo. With a variety of steak, veal chops of difference cuts and sizes, there is a cut and taste for every palate. Their crispy veal sweetbreads were divine and their wine selection is pretty good as well. Good for a romantic dinner, business lunch... More

We took our grandchildren (ages 11-13) on our visit to Bergenfield. What a delight. The lamb riblets, the sweetbreads, and the chestnut soup all made a big hit as starters. For main, we enjoyed steaks, veal chops, duck, and short ribs--all excellent, with beautiful and delicious side dishes, especially the mashed potatoes. The dessert were also great, for those who... We drove 3 hours to meet family here, who were driving from 3 hours in the opposite direction. it was worth it, since we don't have kosher restaurants like this near us. It was lunchtime, so the menu was reduced. Each main dish came with one side dish. We started with a communal plate of the lamb riblets, which were... More

I had the pleasure of having a business lunch meeting at Nobo recently, and once again it was superb! The lamb riblets were perfect and the steak was outstanding. Every attendee was thrilled and happy with their choices. The wonderful selection of wines and spirits just adds to the experience. The only issue I had was for some reason the... More

This is probably the best decent kosher Meat restaurant in proximity to Monsey. THe food is very good and service is pretty good. THey are usually very busy for dinner and sometimes the waiters are a bit overwhelmed, but even so they really do try to make you happy. THe only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is... More
