Horrid service, with a overly chatty waitress. Longer than average wait for food, and oil soaked cardboard for "Food".

We were on holiday in March and went several times. Food was fabulous, especially 'mein hosts' recommendations. The beef cordon bleu was out of this world and the Mrs said the Hake and calamari were superb. We had many items on the menu even a bar snack after watching rugby, great place and TV coverage, what a pity we don't... More

Visited this lovely restaurant last day of 2015. What an awesome time we had. Hubby ordered the eisbein, I had the rump and my son had a burger. Everything was super - including the service. Thank you Aston Arms.

The new owners have really cleaned up and improved the services and staff. The meals were very cost effective. The service was prompt and the quality of food was good with a reasonable selection on the menu

This very local restaurant with new owner at first glance may be quite deceptive to the discerning traveller. The uncomplicated choices of mostly pub style food meet all our dinning needs. The Portuguese baby chicken was perfectly prepared, moist and spicy. Friendly service, great value :)

I ordered the Calamari it was obviously frozen and from a bag the chips were also oven chips not great, my son had the sole and really enjoyed it. Not any Portuguese items on the menu other than the chicken service was good and the waitress attentive and professional.

Well worth a visit. Manny and Maria have been in J'Bay and Aston Bay for ages. They know their food and they personally prepare it. Good peri peri chicken and prawns, very good giblets, very good sardinas, best trinchado and many more very well prepared dishes. We love their food. Don't miss out on Aston Arms, you just might enjoy... More

We ate in a rather shabby garden. My husband asked for mustard for his steak and was charged R12 for a dollop of mustard from a bottle. My daughter had a bottle of water which tasted disgusting, so we immediately sent it back, but we were charged for it. The waiter was pleasant and apologetic but the owner could do... More

Food was excellent. We all had the chicken peri-peri which was done ala Portuguese style by Manny. Lighting a bit to romantic ie. dim lighting but we will always return to this restaurant.

Aston Arms is a family restaurant with a touch of a Irish restaurant with wooden panel walls red carpet and cozy!! We got 8 tables inside then a varande with 3 tables that looks into a very green garden and overlooks into the famous lagoon the Seekoei River with its beautiful Flamigos. Aston Arms been trading with some owners for 19 years
