We accidentally found Snoekies and enjoyed a wonderful meal of fried snoek, hake, calamari and chips. The food was real tasty and we enjoyed the atmosphere of being on the harbor. It had a true feeling and no just a commercialized place. Service was quickly.

Really the best Fish and chips. Service fast and friendly and food not expensive. Please do not order double portion of fish if you are not very very hungry. After a long day we really enjoyed the fish. Not easy to find but ask at the entrance of the harbour and they will direct you. Really worthwhile.

This Cape establishment has been around since the 1950's. Starting life from a converted bus and selling to local fishermen. They are still serving fishermen and the rest of us mere mortals. It is always worth the trip out to Hout Bay to have some snoek (a local Atlantic fish) and chips. Spoil yourself

If you are in Hout Bay a visit to Snoekies is an essential part of the trip. Just watch out as it is very popular and huge queues form at lunch time. If you are into fine dining then you will be disappointed but you get good honest food.

What better meal can there be than fresh fish and chips eaten in a working harbour listening to seagulls and smelling the sea salty air. This is what you get a Snoekies. I have eaten here a few times and can recommend the Snoek and Chips. Portion sizes are generous and the fish tastey and fresh. Service is quick too.... More

As a party of 4 we popped here earlier today. It is set in a strange location where I am sure many tourists miss it. Effectively it is dockside off the main road, you probably need to know what you are looking for. We got a platter for 4 ...this consisted of 4 hakes, 8 battered prawns, calamari, rice, chips... Not recommended. Poor value for money. Over cooked, greasy and bones in the hake. Calamari portion so small
