I was there for some business in Korat. checking for some good place to go I found they were having a rooftop restaurant in the kantary so I went there to try.
the place was great with the best view in town.
the food was pretty good and I really enjoy my meal with a perfect view.
please ask for a table near the window so you can be looking around at the same time having your dinner.
pleasant manager and friendly staff.

To tell you the truth I wasn't expecting a lot when I went to dinner last night (2 feb 2021) at the Grill Room at the Kantary Hotel but I was pleasantly blown away. The restaurant like the hotel is very comfortable and well decorated. The food was outstanding as where the drinks and the service. I had a Tuna Steak with salad and a mash potato with truffle oil and my wife had a grilled Chicken Breast, Salad and a mushroom side. I had a mouthful of her chicken breast with a pepper sauce and hers was outstanding also. The western chef came out to have a look around and the server proudly told me he is French. We are going back there tonight and indeed we have a relatives wedding back here in Korat on the 20th of Feb and I will happily drive the 6 hours back here (from Hua Hin where we live ) to eat in this restaurant and stay in the hotel again.

We have previously stayed at the Kantary Hotel and have gone to their buffet dinner last year but we had never visited The Grill Room restaurant. After recently getting married, we wanted to have a post-wedding celebration dinner for just our close family. We decided on The Grill Room and what a great decision it was.
We visited The Grill Room during the day a few days before our dinner and the staff was extremely nice and flexible. We pre-ordered for out party of 6 and we decided to choose the outdoor seating as seen in their pictures (with a backup table inside if the weather didn't cooperate).
On the day of the dinner, the staff was very attentive and we had the outdoor dining room completely to ourselves. The food was delicious. We had appetizers (tuna tartare & prawns), soup (mushroom truffle & French onion), entree (steaks and pork chops), sides and dessert (crepes suzette, cherries jubilee and gelato). Everything was cooked perfectly and was very delicious. The staff even presented us with a cake in celebration of our marriage.
Thank you to the staff at The Grill Room for making things perfect on our special day!

We used to have a very bad experience three years ago. Now, that the Covid madness is over, we gave it another try, the more as the location (rooftop) and spacious design of the place is matchless.
No question, the restaurant has changed for the better.
This being said, there is still space for improvement.
The restaurant was half empty, which is sad for such a beautiful place. The service was very good, friendly and attentive, unfortunately not always competent. When installing a big special refrigerator for wine incl. fancy glass doors facing the restaurant room, there should be at least ONE person competent with its content. There was a Chablis (not 'petite Chablis', which is no Chablis), which was neither listed in the wine menu, nor even known to the staff. The food, various salads, grilled scampi and burger was good.
My friendly advice to the chef: selling a burger for 550 Bath requires excellent high-quality minced meat. There shouldn't be even a trace of cartilage/tendon in it.
There is one big No No. Bad enough that the staff still wears the proven useless masks, latex gloves may be suitable in an operation theatre but not in a restaurant; DISGUSTING.
All together we liked it and we will come again, hoping the gloves have been disposed of then.

A very good restaurant. I choose this restaurant coz i was a little bit fed up with thai food. Wanted some "european influenced food". That i got and was very surprised. The shrimp was very good and the the shrimp mouse with avocado was really nice. The staff was very friendly and served us well. My thai girlfriend liked it as well as she likes thai food. So that must be a compliment.

Never disappointed for the food and service here. Special Thank you K. O (ŕą‚ŕ¸ŕą‰) & K.earth (My CrĂŞpes Suzette Man). I always come here to have dinner at least one night of my stay. I love Snow fish and CrĂŞpes Suzette here always order and eat the same menu. And right here has a good atmosphere. I highly recommended. Such a great choice to have a cry nice dinner in Korat.

stayed at the hotel and had mea in the grill room on 11 january 2023, best meal in thailand in our opinion. Its a little pricey but well worth the money if you enjoy great qualtiy and service. We will visit again for sure. Its on 20 floor of the hotel one review syas it cannot be racehe by lift beyond floor 19 but this is untrue, ask the staff and they will show you a lift from 20th to ground floor.
