Monkey Bar offers a fantastic venue with Delicious Fresh Food and Ice Cold Beers and a large choice of spirits and cocktails . Live Music is played at the weekends and Sports on 3 large TVs. A free pool table and darts board. We also have free WiFi. Inside is non smoking and we also have air conditioning and comfortable seating. There is a covered outside seating area where smoking is permitted.

Had 4 nights in korat found this bar on my 2nd night after a very dour 1st night at the George and Dragon 10 mins walk away, and called in for my 3rd and 4th night. monkey bar a great place to meet other foreigners for a cold beer etc large leo was only 100 baht the bar has a pool, table, tv screens, Thai and western food, good menu, I had the Thai food and it was excellent, super service from the freindly staff who were constantly topping up your drink and dropping ice into your glass. Nice outdoor seating with tables..opens 9.30am to midnight. Live band wete very good and very ear freindly.
Probably the best bar in korat.

I was stopping off in Korat, my first time, for the evening and decided to visit the bar on a recommendation as it was literally on 3 minutes walk from hotel.
The bar is a very smart and modern looking place that is very clean throughout. The bar staff are absolutely lovely, very polite and curtious. I ordered a meal which was on the specials board, Liver. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent presentation and it was absolutely delicious and dare I say, better than my mums cooking.
The place was very quiet, but I would put that down to the weather and lack of visitors due to CV19, however I believe that things are picking up, having spoken to the owners, who had popped in. They have live music on a weekend, so I'm very
tempted to come back for that. One thing that I was very impressed about was the complete transparency of the prices. Everything is labelled so clearly and easy to see, which for some people is great and saves time asking.
I will definitely visit the Monkey Bar again and now I know its there so close to a good hotel, the Siri Hotel I will make a point of visiting Korat very soon on a weekend.
I did mention before about the food. Well, I personally thanked the chef on my way back from visiting the bathroom. I did notice at that point that the kitchen is also immaculate. To me, that is also a measure of a good place.

The Monkey bar in Khorat run by two gents one American and one British both are dedicated to making this bar a genuine oasis for Brits. The array of drinks on offer is sufficient to keep anyone very happy and the quality and variation of food on offer is excellent.
From superb Sunday lunch right through to excellent Thai fare the food is superb and the attention to cleanliness comparable to any quality restaurant in the UK. My Thai family love the Thai food which is an endorsement if ever there was and I love the chilli cheese and chips.
If you are staying in Khorat, pay a visit, if you are passing through, take a moment from your journey and grab a bite to eat. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Big English Breakfast was great, but you need to get in early before a crowd arrives.
We had a slight wait but that was OK as I had a coffee to consume prior. An American guy ordered just before us and was not happy as he said he had to wait 45 minutes.
I don't really think it was that long and as the place was just opening (10am) the few staff that were there were incredibly busy.
The food was tasty. We had been to the Monkey bar the afternoon and night previous. I tried the Krab Pou pizza and it was fantastic. The beef and bacon burger was also OK.
It appears the aircon is only turned on during the late evening session. During the day only fans operate. It's better than nothing but can still get quite warm inside.
Lots of expat retirees abound and use this as their 'local pub'. And most of them are very courteous to the staff as well as 'visitors'.
I'll probably go there again but won't become a 'local' I'm living too far out of town for that.

Stopped overnight in Korat and needed a place to chill. The hotel recommended Monkey Bar. As it happened it was a short walk from the hotel. Welcoming staff but the locals (expats) gave me and my wife a good "up and down" and were not particularly friendly. Good range of beer (bottled only) and spirits/cocktails. Wine was poor - cask only. Limited food menu (we chose to eat back at the hotel).

Today we went for early lunch from a referral and the food was great.
We were the only ones there but the staff were great and the food excellent
I had the Haddock fish and chips the best fish and chips I have had so far in Thailand
My wife was impressed with the Thai food too.
Great job worth trying if you are in korat

Spent several visits here with girlfriend and had a nice time. The management was more then helpful informing me of things to do in the area. The pizza was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice and comfortable. When I was there on one occasion there was a difficult annoying patron and the management was quick to deal with the issue. Great place to visit in Korat for English speaking friends.

An oasis in khorat. Superb management, great staff, very good food choice and quality.
If you are passing through, drop in.
No matter if it is for a refreshing cold one or a serious night you are guaranteed a welcome.
A good spread of nationalities attend but none of your usual expat nonsense, everyone is friendly.

Fantastic food selection extremely well cooked and presented. Outstandingly friendly owners (one American, one English (Cornish)) ex Ellen array of drinks and always well-stocked.
Lovely staff and impressively clean.
Definitely the best bar / restaurant in Korat by a very large margin.

This bar is my local when I'm at home in
Korat. Always been a good bar with food and entertainment. Over years I've had plenty of food and drink here, alone, with friends and family. Has always been a pleasure. I'd recommend this bar.

Mid week, mid day, drink, just to recharge the batteries and have a look.
Place had a few ex pat customers which for the middle of the day was good. Service was fine, beer was nice and cold.
They played some good music from behind the bar too, which was noted.
Looks like a decent place to return to for a good night. Might do, lets see!

The boss and staff are great and the food especially the sunday dinner is amazing:)

Popped in for a beer during a walk. Poor vibe, dark and very seedy. Might be better during the late evening . Could be improved by employing friendly staff .
