On May 13, 2022, I was dropped off at the car repair shop by my good friend and long time Car Rental Owner (Koratcarrental.com) Jimmy.
Jimmy spoke to me about were will I eat tonight, I told him I would try and find me a German resturant in Nakhon Ratchasima Th. We did I not stir a note, as Jimmy started to rav and O&D Pub.
Well I said, I will find this place and check it out. Kind off out of place Pub on this outskirts of the main City of Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat).
Great place, Quiet and Friendly atmosphere. I was greeted by the Big D and his Soulmate O.
As I looked at the menu board, I saw my once favorite Kassler mit SauerKraut. Well, I ordered it and patiently enjoyed the large video screen with German and English Country music.
15 minutes later, this little woman brought out this huge plate and to my surprise 3 pces of Kassler chops, a large helping of Potatoe Puree and the same size well cooked sauerkraut.
It took me a while to get it down, but to the last bite it was well worth the flavor. My mother favorite dish and she came from Breslau.
Enough said, since that day, I have been back 6 times and each time a new dish.
Wow, Great place and Great service and Great German Atmosphere with thai resemblance.
All I can say, Its the best German Resturant with ECHT German food.

Food was delicious, service was excellent. Have dined there multiple times and each time was great. The food is prepared very well and fresh. The menu selection has authentic German cuisine (among other options), and you're sure to find something you'll enjoy eating.

Forgot to take pictures because we were so busy eating the amazing food. The owner was very nice and informative about how he hand made all sauces for the food. The jagerschnitzel was beyond what I was expecting and blew my mind. My wife got the same thing, but instead of fries she got the mash potatoes which were equally delicious. We also ordered a mixed meat plate that tasted great as well. The only thing was that we didn't get to eat much of it because we were already full from the jagerschnitzel plate. The plates are a hefty amount of food for a reasonable price, so bring you appetite and order up!

We visited this out of the way restaurant / bar following the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. The menu is fairly heavy on German / central European food, though we both ate Thai food on our visit; this was very good.
The place is fine if you happen to be in the area, but I really don't understand the glowing reviews. It's very average and typical of a low budget farang restaurant in the more rural areas of Thailand. Be prepared for that and you will doubtless be okay.

A hidden gem in Korat worth a visit. I doubt anyone can eat here only once and be satisfied. When I'm back in Korat again, I'm definitely bringing more people to enjoy the peaceful ambiance, inviting hospitality and rich flavors.
Offering both western and thai cuisine, the chefs there are self proclaimed "hobbyists". I find that hard to believe because the meal was exquisitely prepared and with a professional choice of ingredients and flavors. Would recommend the chicken con carne if you're looking for a wholesome comfort food. Try the barramundi with white wine sauce if you're looking to treat yourself. No drop of sauce will be left on your plate after the meal
The host is helpful and engages in polite conversation so that you feel at home. You can trust his recommendations for a hassle free experience and get updates on what's new on the menu. If you're looking for a relaxed place to connect and network, this bar has a good track record of attracting open and friendly patrons who are open to conversation as well.
oh and don't forget to end off with a scoop or 2 of their handmade liquor ice-cream. You wont regret it

This restaurant has become a regular of mine and my family. I live in Korat city, and this is, by far, one of the best restaurants in the entire area. The owner and staff couldn't be more friendly and welcoming, and the food is absolutely incredible! Try the lab tod and the rack of ribs, just to name a couple! OMG! Top the evening off with a scoop of their homemade ice cream and you realize it simply doesn't get much better! A 5-star restaurant could learn a thing or two from O&D! The amazing food and excellent beverage choices coupled with a laid-back atmosphere and fantastic music selections and screenings make for a remarkable and unforgettable experience! If you find yourself in or near Korat, do yourself a huge favor and head over to O&D. You'll thank me later.

Barramundi in dill and white wine sauce, with mashed potatoes and schnitzel in gipsy sauce served at the O&D restaurant, his portions his portions are always a great size, and the prices are fair. If you cannot finish your food you can always take away. I’m really glad that I found this restaurant, it’s only a shame that it took me so long as Ive stayed in this area for many years. The food photos are taken after I had started eating , friendly staff and great food.

My wife and I have just returned from the states after a four year absence from Korat. We also had just visited Cologne and Frankfurt Germany in May while traveling back to Thailand. I ordered several Wienershinzel's in Germany and they cannot compare to O&D's Shnitzels that I have enjoyed during the past 15 years in Korat. O&D's looks the same as before we left except the trees and shrubs have grown larger, but the food is the same delicious meals that we had in the past. We are glad to be back and look forward to many more meals at O&D's!

Excellent food, good portions, well cooked & served in a relaxing quiet area with ample parking. I cannot fault this restaurant which has an innovative menu with a good selection of western foods along with delicious Thai meals. A regular choice for me now.

The sausage, steak and meatballs were excellent. The service feels very homely. Despite being out in the open, we were not bothered by flies and mosquitoes because the owner thoughtfully kept the fan on. Some of my favourite 80s music were played. This place is best visited if you have your own car or have a driver waiting as there is no public transport or Grab in the area.

Refresh after the rough COVID period for pubs and restaurants.
O&D ticking right along, nice spot for lunch or dinner and a night out with a group.
Happy the BBQ ribs are back! Onto the chicken salad with homemade house dressing now - large portion (as usual), a meal unto itself. Requested a homemade tortilla and made a nice wrap/burrito. Quite good if you like that sort of thing. Also good with the Gyros plate, onions and Tzatsiki sauce.
If you haven't been before, or it's been a while, stop in and check out the menu. Look up at the Specials Board too, Detlef's always up to something.

I have been going to O and D for the last year, having lived in Joho for 4 years. The food is the best you will have in Korat and the atmosphere at O and D is worth the drive up. You are made to feel very welcome by Detlef and all the staff. It is the perfect place to relax listen to music and enjoy great food and beer.

The O&D Pub & Restaurant is my go to place when feeling really hungry. I have been going here for about 15 years and the food is amazing. If that was not enough reason to go, the atmosphere is really friendly. I really recommend this place.

It's the best place for Thai food and western food in Korat.
My wife love the Thai food and I'm working my way tru the Western menu and all the food tast great.
And whit the good service this is my favorite restaurant in Korat.

Over from England I saw the reviews and decided to give it a go. Great place very friendly. I had schintzel and my wife had Thai food both were superb and was the best meal we’ve had since we’ve been here, we will certainly be going back for some more before we leave.
