Unlike most places in Bhutan where the owners make you feel happy about being there - this place was special .... seemed quite focused on maximizing profits... ... food could certainly have done with some love and care and the ice cream a bit more generous....

We had asked for a mixed vegetable curry in Indian style, but were disappointed with carrots and beans cooked in a yellow turmeric gravy. The brown rice was tasty. They have soft drinks too. The staff was quite helpful though.

We have our buffet lunch at the cafeteria after visiting Chime Lhakhang Monastery. Nice scenery outside the cafeteria while eating. The food is average, almost same as what we have been eating the past few days.

I visited this cafeteria for lunch. The food here is pretty inexpensive compared to other areas but the food is average not that very or not that bad. One can go to have the meal once they are in Punakha.

We had a buffet lunch. They had catered for continental tastes. The resto is located facing paddy fields and with a clear sight of Chimi Lakhang and the path to reach the monastry. They also serve beer n other packaged fruit/airated drinks. The host is warm and speak English.

We stopped off here for lunch on the way to the "Temple of the Divine Madman". As we were part of a largish party lunch was served buffet style. That said the food was good and plentiful. Soft drinks were offered but, as usual, were extra to the buffet. All in all it was a clean, decent lunch stop with... More

Nestled in the middle of the rice paddy fields it's a beautiful small cafe with good fresh food. They also serve buffet meals...the cuisine is Bhutanese indian and Chinese. Wud recommend them for their food and location (good views)

Simple unlimited Bhutanese buffet at lunch time is the thing to go for here. Good place to sit down, relax in between your journey, and enjoy the views while having lunch. Funny thing: The washrooms are clean and you will wonder if they are unisex or one for male and the other for female because of the artifacts kept in... More

Had lunch before visiting the Chimi Lakhang temple. Good food and a much better view from the restaurant. Friendly helpful owner and the staff. Recommended.
