This place is wonderful. The staff is very friendly, the food is excellent, and the rustic NM charm is everywhere. Make a reservation as they will reserve a better table for you.

We love a warm New Mexico kitchen for breakfast and San Marcos is about as good as it gets. Huevos Rancheros are super with green, red, or Christmas. (For those of you from other parts that is chili and Christmas is both red and green). Try the house made corned beef hash, the fresh cinnamon roll or just go for... More

I love this quaint and funky cafe/restaurant on the Turquoise trail which is the scenic way from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. It's an old adobe house with turkeys, peacocks and other birds wandering the grounds. The large windows provide great views to the outside. Good food and don't forget to try the cinnamon rolls.

Today we laid our father to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. We drove to this cafe to have a family lunch after the service. When we arrived, the waitress/owner sat some of our group and, in a condescending manner, told the rest of us to wait outside. After waiting outside for 20-30 minutes in the heat, I approached... I have been traveling NM14 from the East Mountains (San Antonito) to Santa Fe almost every week since 1999 and never realized there was a cafe associated with the San Marcos feed store. I was invited by a friend last Sunday to have breakfast/lunch at this cafe. What a treat! Great ambiance, friendly staff, OUTSTANDING meals, reasonable prices, etc. etc.... More

This is a quaint, funky little rural NM spot to stop for basic good food and most of all the wildlife entertainment provided by the turkeys, peacocks and other birds on the property. The large windows provide great views to the outside action. This isn't great gourmet food, but it is good food in a fun setting and if you... More

We went for breakfast twice this past week. Both times the food was excellent. Very fresh ingredients. The peacocks watching you through the windows is fun, free entertainment. Cinnamon Roll muffins are really good as well.

On a visit to Santa Fe the friends that we were travelling with said that we "Had" to have breakfast at the San Marcos Cafe and Feed Store. They were right. This is an authentic local place where everyone seems to know everyone. Sort of like a Mel's Diner. The food was very tasty and the service was terrific. Our... More

I learned of this place from a friend and I have to say he was 100% right. Great fresh food served by friendly people in a farm like atmosphere. I love their Eggs Benedict.
