When traveling the boondocks of S NMx, don't expect anything beyond Conoco-cooked dogs and fried chicken; thus, up @ 9,000' in the Mountains east of Alamogordo, to find a better-than-decent restaurant is a very very pleasant surprise. No, Rebecca's isn't going to rise to being...More

My friend and I had a delightful dinner here. I had the chile poblano and she had the ruby red trout. both were very good. Since it is winter and the sun sets early, there was not much to view outside....service was very friendly.

Overpriced for quality and variety. It's not clear that reservations are required. Would like to see more local foods used in the menu.

We liked the Xmas buffet the last time we went, but this time they sat us down at 2:30 pm (for a 2:15 reservation) and the buffet items looked picked over. For example, there were shrimp for shrimp cocktail but the sauce was empty (save...More

Staff is friendly. Restaurant is nice with large windows. Comfortable seating. Food is from the 50s..table side preparation? Really? Ordered the pistachio crusted trout...I think it was trout or salmon, my memory. Anyway tasted more pistachio than fish.

We stayed at the Hotel for the evening and grabbed a few drinks while taking in the hotel. We had dinner after, chips and queso from the bar menu were better than any restaurant around! I had the green chile alfredo and it was delicious!...More

We ate in the bar. Food was excellent, chicken fried steak and portobello hamburger. Service good. Will return.

We ordered filet mignon to celebrate a special occasion. The meal was superb and worthy of "special". My husband enjoyed jalapeno/squash soup and I had a salad. Our filets were served with asparagus and potatoes. Our meat was cooked to perfection. We will be back...More

The food at the Lodge was outstanding, but with the new and shortened menu the quality has changed. When the cobbler is offered it's very good. While the quality of food isn't the best they have extended the drink menu.

Early dinner was especially nice. Enough daylight to enjoy the view. Started with delicious bread and creamy sweet potato jalapeno soup. Probably my favorite during my 2.5 week vacation.
