We have been here before & the food was great. This time we tried the squid ink pasta, it was outstanding! The pasta is homemade, you aren't going to get that anywhere else in Gallup! The seafood was cooked perfectly! The steaks are always great...More

On a road trip from Tucson, AZ to Ann Arbor, MI, and after two hours in the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert National Park in 40 mph sustained winds, we were in serious need of some good food and drink. Thanks to all you other...More

We were in Gallup for a work project; and as always, I sought out a restaurant recommendation from Trip Advisor. We read all of the positive reviews about the Badlands Grill and decided we had to try it! From the moment we were greeted by...More

Having worked in the restaurant industry for years, my father and I notice how everyone works together. We were extremely impressed and pleased to see that a total of three servers came by to check on us. Note: these servers weren't dropping anything off to...More

Our favorite steak dinner is Filet Mignon, and their wet-aged Filet are the best. We hardly needed a steak knife to cut them, and they were truly melt in your mouth steaks. Their wine list ranges from everyday to outstanding, I had the Joseph Carr...More

We ate here in mid-October, mainly based on TripAdvisor reviews. I hate to say this, but this was one of the few times that TripAdvisor led us astray. It was late for us as our stomachs were still on eastern time, so we both wanted...More

Sunday evening the hotel told us everywhere was closed, but Badlands had a light on and we're glad they did. Everything was good - ambience, food, service - and being right on Route 66 hubby bought two great souvenir Tshirts!

Great atmosphere, even better food, at reasonable pricing! Never expected fresh made daily soup or salad with just a burger! Excellent selections and god variety.

We were in town visiting and checked the ratings and menu here. The deep fried cheesecake sounded too good to be true... And turned out to no longer be on the menu. No matter, as the steaks were great, as was the service by Chelsea....More

I ordered the Grilled Blackened Salmon that was fresh, cooked to perfection, and was a good size portion. The garlic mashed potatoes were great, the asparagus, also grilled had a terrific smoked flavor. Moderately priced, but would return when back in the area.

Not a chain, Badlands offers true New Mexico hospitality and taste- for those of you traveling through, it's the place where locals go when they want a meal that's truly a cut above the rest, and relax with friends and neighbors. There's no dress code...no pretentiousness...just beef that's been wet-aged for 21 days, cut in-house and cooked to order...combine these with an ice cold beer or excellent bottle of wine... and you've got the stuff a cattleman's dreams are made of!
