After a long drive through West Texas we were grateful to find this oasis in Las Cruces. Excellent service, delicious dinner (green chili stew and cheese and tomatillo quesadilla) with their own takes on beer. Sit outside with the toasty heaters and watch the sun go down.

If you're a fan of craft brews - you won't be surprised to find a nice little brewery in Las Cruces, because craft brewers have taken over the world! Well, not quite, but the High Desert beers were mighty fine! And the food was a decent accompaniment - but you'd definitely come for the beers! Shall I say it again,... More

Great little brew pub and the best nachos in town. Highly recommend for anyone at any age without a doubt.

Yes, there are brewpubs popping up everywhere, but this one has been around awhile now (almost 20 years, I think), and it is like no other brewpub I've been to. First off, the beer is hands-down excellent. No brewery would stay in business this long if it weren't. Always a good selection that varies from visit to visit, and always... More

If you are just looking for locally brewed beer, this could be an ok stop. I would skip the food. The focus really is just on beer. The atmosphere is lame, the food was poor, the bartender was pushy and rude. Overall, I think their are better places in town

The Buffalo wings here are made from a very unusual recipe with Chipotle and orange marmalade. To die for! Oktoberfest is the best around!

Well hidden behind some scrubby trees on a residential street, High Desert is easy to miss. Maybe this is by design. I believe if the secret got out how good their beers are, they might be overwhelmed. Having never been here before, and knowing nothing about their brews, I had no expectations. Looks often being deceiving, neither the exterior nor... More

This place is pretty awesome. Me and my wife cane this time with another couple. We brought our dogs this time and hung out on the patio. I have to say it's hard to find a establishment that allows pets on their patio. But this place is awesome and the staff are the friendliest people I have ever met. We... More

Long day in the car from Carlsbad Caverns, was looking for a good brew pub. Found it in High Desert Brewing Co. The place is an old converted house, so feels like you're dropping in on friends. Food does the trick (not a foodie place). Friendly and unpretentious, and as their shirt says " none of our beers suck!"

This place was nice, clean, and quiet, with a laid back vibe. We went on a Sunday evening. The place was about 2/3 full. We had the October fest and the pilsner. Both were tasty and served cold! We also tried the brats. Cooked through but still had the snap in the skin. Toasted buns with saurkraut and spicy mustard... More
