Historic Las Vegas New Mexico. One of the original buildings is the El Fidel Hotel. Attached to that is the El Fidel restaurant. We had a lovely lunch, good food, great service. Took a walk to look at the old buildings. Loved it. John & LynNita Ellis

Great place for a special night out. Good food and several craft beers available. A step up from the usual local restaurants

Found ourselves in Las Vegas, NM because I-25 was closed at the Raton Pass. This place is an absolute gem. The maitre d was knowledgeable not only of the menu, but also of the area. She brought us 3 bottles of wine, recommending one in particular, which we enjoyed immensely. Our meals were delicious, (a ribeye, lamb meatballs and pork... More

Our meals were exquisite and prepared to perfection. Fresh, delicious, flavorful. I had the egg plant pasta and I don't think I would order that again. It was okay, but nothing as special as what my daughter and husband had. They both raved about their dishes and each gave me a taste. My daughter had the Maple Bacon Chicken. It... More

My nephew is a student at UWC (United World Colleges) prep school in Montezuma, NM. My wife and I picked him up at school along with three of his buddies and headed to El Fidel. I'm very glad we did. The six of us ordered six different meals and three different deserts. All of the meals were prepared to perfection... More

Mom and I stopped in here for lunch back in December. It was great. The waiter was very friendly. He told us that the meals were big, so we split one. It was awesome. Something different than the great Mexican food that is available throughout Las Vegas.

El Fidel is an eclectic restaurant in a sea of Northern NM diners. I like to eat there whenever I want something higher quality and different than the rest in the area. Not that I don't enjoy New Mexican food, but sometimes I want something different. You must try the bacon cheddar fondue, lamb burger for lunch and the steaks... More

Was visiting with friends in the area and was told to try the food at this restaurant on the ground floor of this old hotel. Restaurant is operated separately from the hotel. Menu had a variety of meat, fish and pasta dishes and offered them with the flavors of northern New Mexico. I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye steak with... More

We visited Las Vegas , N.M. and were fortunate to find this gem in the middle of town. It is located in the historic El Fidel Hotel. We were there in August and I had a wonderful mushroom and spinach risotto, we also had the blackened chicken salad and the steak arugula salad all of which were delicious. They also... More
