We popped in on a Wednesday night for drinks and ended up having dinner, too! The Buckhorn is the only thing open in the evenings in Pinos Altos and it's a ton of fun.

My wife and I had the best meal at the Buckhorn Saloon. The Clam Chowder was the best I have ever tasted. The service was exceptional and the drinks at the bar were amazing. This gem is located near Silver City New Mexico. We were so happy to have discovered this restaurant. The menu has just about anything you would... More

A wonderful historic building with updates to the restaurant / saloon. Local music, great food, and friendly service. Furnishings are beautiful with lots of nods to the saloon's bordello past. They usually leave the door open so guests can slip over to the Opera House which is an incredible space with wood ceiling and amazing chandeliers. Walking distance from Gallery... More

You are having dinner in a saloon in the Southwest. What more could you want? Well a really good drink to start...and it was a super martini. The prime rib was over the top good and the salmon was excellent. We were a large group and the staff knows exactly how to deal with it. Service was prompt and everyone... More

My wife and spent the day hiking the cliff dwellings and wanted a nice place to eat for dinner. We went back to our AirBnB and showed. Then drove from Silver City to this restaurant. Only a 15 minute drive. It was just getting dark at 7pm when we arrived. We had reservations. But on a Tuesday, it was not... More

My favorite meal - great service and reasonable price. Recommend the prime rib. Reservations also recommended if going after 7

This has a bit of the ambience of an old-fashioned saloon. It looks pretty run down from the outside but the inside is much better. There are large fireplaces and lots of wood. It is decorated with animal heads and lots of old western memorabilia. The wine list is small but has decent wine. The menu is extensive--too extensive to... More

Just outside Silver City, NM. Owners from San Francisco have brought lovely cuisine with them and have added local flavors. Wonderful dinner, terrific service and great Old West atmosphere! Loved this place, will be back!!

Just a few visitors and some locals around the fire. Staff welcoming and friendly. Good drinks and dinner in the dining area. A ways up the road spotted 2 bobcats & later 3 javelinas on the way back to Lake Roberts for winter camping.
