Though past inconsistencies in this historic restaurant's food and service has kept us away, our decision to join friends for another try were extremely well-rewarded. Martina's Friday Fish special dinner offering easily exceeded our expectations. Our choice of the fresh pink Panama grouper special was expertly prepared, presented, and served. Indeed, the chef made a brief appearance at our table... More

Great food, wonderful ambiance, a wonderful venue for a large party for possibly a wedding reception, family reunion, just think of an event where you need lots of space.

Enjoyed the quality of food in this historic building. Tried it a couple of times while visiting Taos and all choices were great. Happy Hour includes half price on excellent wines as well as many appetizers and small plates. Shrimp, crab cakes, and calamari were all great.

After 4 disappointing lunches, i decided to try the new chef. Still a disappointment. My steak (the size of a deck of cards) in the Southwest steak salad was over-aged and over-cooked -- I had ordered rare. There was nothing Southwest in grilled Romaine wedges with walnuts, bacon bits and grapes.

This is a special Taos area restaurant. The facility is classic southwest and spacious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is excellently prepared and beautifully presented. I had the stuffed mushrooms and then the chicken quesadillas - both were excellent. I WILL be back!!!

I stumbled upon this gem of a place while visiting the famous church across the road as I could smell the cooking. A gorgeous interior, cool arty Taos decor. The menu has European style dishes as well as Imaginative Southwestern cuisine with lots of yummy things to pick from. Vegetarian and gluten free as well. Wine portions are generous with... More

I've avoided Old Martina's for 2 years, after an inedible chicken salad sandwich and a mediocre dinner a few months before that. Went for lunch with a largish group and had something I normally wouldn't order for lunch -- a grilled ruby red trout special. It was Excellent and a Great Value. A businesswoman in the area told me that... More

From the moment we walked in the service was exceptionally friendly. The venue is very beautiful. This was our first time here with the new chef. He has a very Stephan Pyles-esque style. The menu looked delicious and tasted good but the attention to detail was disappointing. For a Friday night the kitchen should have been on its game. Our... More

this is a big place but great for small groups and couples too. It is going back in time. The owners did a great job renovating and keeping that old Taos/pueblo feel. The staff is very friendly too.
