The name does not imply it but this is a really nice Italian restaurant just south of the city. Good wine list, lots of variety in the menu and many specials. The food and portion were good Our only complaint was the bread was nothing special

For lunch or dinner this place is fantastic. The chef will actually step out to ask you if everything is to your liking and she doesn't mind making substitutes, especially if you require gluten free meals. White table clothes, fireplace, clean and peaceful. One of my favorite places to eat!!

We were seeking Italian food one evening while staying in Taos, and decided to give the Trading Post Cafe a try. The front parking area is limited, so we drove around back to find a large parking lot. A kind local gentleman who lives nearby encouraged us to walk through his garage area to the restaurant entrance. The place is... More

The place is bustling and I can see why! Plenty of options from cold poached salmon, to paella, to a make-your-own Caesar salad bar. Cheese platters, fresh fruits, several veggie salads plus local favorites like tamales and pinto beans....something for everyone including eggs to order and breakfast meats......all for $15 pp,(bev & tip not included). A real deal....call for reservations... More

Wow! $15 for a fantastic Sunday Brunch buffet that was simply wonderful. Antonio and Sarah are back in town and really making a hit. Service, cuisine, atmosphere and price were simply right on the mark. No better place in Taos for Sunday morning!

Sit in the main dining room at a cozy table or the bar. You are surrounded by beautiful art, chefs in their open kitchen and a warm fire. Request Table 5. You will see famous people dining regularly. The fabulous and wild Chef Rene may not be with us but his love for food and art will remain for many... More

Have been here many times and enjoyed it. The last time was a big let down. I think owner or manager has changed, but it just isn't what it used to be. Saw a sign that they have a Sunday brunch now, but not sure if will go back to try.

We discovered this restaurant 12 years ago when we were in Taos as a couple for the first time. It literally was one of several reasons why we moved here a short year later. In the past few years we have been eating at home more, but we eventually discovered the great light special Italian dinner the Trading Post serves... More

We have eaten here several times and the food and service are always impeccable!! The chefs prepare all meals from scratch each day. The local vegetables and flavors of the local herbs is delicately blended and is an explosion of flavor without anything being overwhelming. During our recent visit, Therese was our server and she provided outstanding personal and superb... More

They have a Sunday Brunch that is above and beyond any brunch we've ever had. Multiple stations featuring Italian, Mexican (& New Mexican), French and Oriental when we went on the first day they were trying it. These may change, but whatever they have featured will be exceptional. Seared Ahi, Poached Salmon, Carne Adobada, crazy good cheese board with local... More
