I recently dined here while visiting the ufo museum across the street. it did not disappoint! I got half a chicken, a drink, tortillas & 2 sides for a little over 10bucks. glad I decided to give this place a shot instead of going somewhere else. you can also watch them prepare the chickens, which I enjoyed doing. everything was... This restaurant was recommended by several local business people so my family and I gave it a try. Glad we did! The food was delicious and the service was good. The chips and salsa were very good. The salsa was spicy the way I like it too. Will be going back every time we are in Roswell.

This was truly an authentic southwest Mexican restaurant with all of the down home charm included. The menu is a no nonsense combination of great Mexican flavors. The location just south of the courthouse on Main street was great.

Service was slow, food was tasteless. There were only three customers in the restaurant and it still took a really long time.

The chips and salsa were fine. I had the taquitos, which were fine, not that flavorful. Taco shells were crispy, yet light and flaky, says the hubs. He had enchiladas, which he liked. I was expecting better Mexican in New Mexico, but it was fine.

This is probably the most popular Mexican restaurant in town and it's easy to see why. The food was good, the service attentive, and the prices very reasonable. A bonus on a Friday might was live music!

El Toro has a nice little lunch buffet for cheap, $6.99 without a drink. There was some meats, veggies, fruit, and was everything was good. Right on main street and parking was free.

They are in an old run down building but please don't judge a book by its cover!! Great food! Daily specials and very authentic food. Never thought I'd try cheek meat of a cow but it's better than any pot roast mama ever made and melts in your mouth. Not greasy at all. Baked good from their bakery next door... More
