This is a wonderful place to hang out, especially the bar, which is wonderful, lots of locals go there. The food is very good, their chile is excellent, so if you're in the mood for Mexican food, try here.

Awesome breakfast and quick friendly service. Various specials and if you go on Sunday you can't get a drink until 12. I worry about things like that because I love a bloody mary with my brunch...

For many years Doc Martin's was a must when we visited Taos. Our last meal was a huge disappointment. We were seated on the patio and forgotten. We had to re enter the restaurant to look for waitstaff. The food arrived luke warm after a considerable amount of time. We won't be back and in many ways, I'm really sorry... More

When we were seated I felt a draft from the air conditioner, they immediately turned it off. We ordered two different specials and they were both excellent. A king salmon with a beautiful sauce and pico de gallo talking and 3 ounce filet on top of a ribeye stacked on matchstick potatoes with a shallot and red wine demi-glaze. There... More

We stayed at the Taos Inn and ate at Doc Martin's for lunch, dinner, and breakfast. The food is outstanding. For breakfast try the rattlesnake and rabbit sausage. It was excellent and even my wife got brave enough to have a taste. The restaurant is very busy so it is best to make reservations. You will not be disappointed.

We booked this hotel for its location and the ratings on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The room was run down, smelled musty/moldy and was tiny. No mini frig or coffee maker, no breakfast (hotel restaurant does not even serve it for a fee). Simply the basics were missing. For $200/night, we expected more.... More

We only spent two night in Taos and ate dinner here twice. The Inn is famous and is close to the old Plaza area, central to the town. You can see the sign sticking out from the building blocks away. The restaurant is inside the Inn often requires a wait. We wanted to sit outside out-front of the Inn entrance.... More

Nothing special about our lunch. But a fine spot for enjoying the live music offered in the evenings. And the historic ambiance makes up for anything less than special on the menu though we did not eat dinner at Docs. Highly recommended while you are in Taos.

Came highly recommended by our hotel. Needed reservations. Unusual food choices, including rattlesnake and rabbit sausage, which was delicious. The local trout was great too. Also has a full complement of New Mexican specialties. Good service.

Having heard a praiseworthy comment from our in laws whom we were traveling with about the Caprese Salad they had on the bar patio of Taos Inn the four of us went to Doc Martin's for dinner on 8/22. We made reservations that night and got a table in the middle of the dining room. Even though a band was... More
