Visited her for my mother's birthday and definitely did not disappoint. The staff were attentive and friendly and the owner/chef was around and about, chatting to diners and generally making for a very refined atmosphere. The set lunch was absolutely delightful and the amuse bouche delicious. The only thing we felt was missing was a bit of homemade bread! Very... More

We visited this place after a hearing of it from a friend. It is a little difficult to find, but well worth the effort. Not feeling too hungry, we opted for a starter each then a cheese board to share (along with coffee). The starters were small, naturally - they were starters after all, but beautifully cooked and presented. The... More

We choose this restaurant to meet friends half way between all of us. It is well over an hours drive for each of us but well worth it. The food is amazing and the set lunch menu is immensely good value.

The food and ambience at this restaurant is all perfectly fine but unfortunately my visit on a Friday evening with friends was let down by very poor service. The menu is good though the dishes were on small side, especially for the price, and service certainly wasn't with a smile with the food coming very slowly from the kitchen. The... More

This was our third visit as a family, over an 18 month period. The presentation and attention to detail is rather impressive. The desserts are delicious, a lot of thought and imagination has gone into the construction. Each time I have had the venison as my main course, perfectly cooked and of a consistent standard. The selection of cheeses, is... More

This was the first time I had visited this restaurant since it has gone 'up-market' and I will certainly be returning, as well as recommending it to friends. Friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive staff made us feel very welcome. Our group of four wanted to try the tasting menu, but I only eat fish. However, the chef came out and willingly... More

Took my mum out of hospital after a knee replacement and took her here for Sunday lunch, after our 1st choice was fully booked. Son glad we experienced this restaurant - friendly helpful staff, awesome menus and wine list, stunning presentation and creative combinations. My new favourite restaurant in this part of the world.

Visited here last night for a bit of a treat, and we weren't disappointed. Lovely warm welcome from friendly staff, gorgeous decor and absolutely stunning food and drink. We had the pleasure of trying the tasting menu with the classic wine pairing and it was just perfect in every way. A very special treat indeed

Was invited here for a meal by a friend and not really knowing what to expect. We found a fine dining restaurant with the heart of a traditional English country pub. The service was superb and whilst attentive, it remained understated and relaxed. Each dish was well thought and full of flavour, homemade bread and the excellent wine list made... More
