Beat my wife twice at Connect Four before devouring a solid pulled pork sandwich and some excellent pierogies. Good beer selection too. Can't wait to come back.

This is a great place not only for drinks, but also for lunch and dinner. Regular bar food, but some out of the box picks on the menu like perogies, Ahi Tuna etc.

Live bands most nights, ladies night wednesday? Half price appetizers. Food is great and comes in large quantities...don't expect a quiet dinner....even when bands aren't playing it's pretty loud, however if you sit away from the bar you can talk comfortably.

Our experience at Max's was derailed. They were certain that they could get an English Premier League match on their TV so we made plans to eat brunch with them. We ordered our drinks but after sometime, they realized they couldn't get the game. Ran back to the hotel to watch on the internet missing kick off. Not happy. I'd... More

I can't comment on the food because we walked out before ordering anything because of the non-existent service! Went on Friday evening, waited a few minutes for a tables, which wasn't a problem. We then sat at our table for at least 15 minutes and no one came over to our table to take our drink/food orders or even just... More

Went here for dinner on a Second Saturday, which is Art Walk for Beacon. Beacon was hopping, and it was crowded here but got a seat for 2. Attentive service. Specials were good. I had a shrimp Po'Boy loaded with fried shrimp and a great remoulaude sauce, Malt vinegar for my fries, just the way I like it. Sam Adams... More

Wanted to try someplace new near Newburgh, saw Max's as number 2 in Beacon. Cute little town. Max's was as advertised! Yama Bama sweet potato appetizer was incredible, and three dinners tried were as well: chicken with avocado, flank steak and ribs. Mashed potatoes were amazing, very interesting flavor. We'll be back!
