Very interesting menu, delicious food, classy presentation, pleasant server, fantastic view of waterfall... A chance to step outside the box and try something new. Looking forward to returning and trying out the less intense lounge menu and spending a couple of nights in the hotel. I'll save the sophisticated restaurant for our Valentine's getaway.

Met some friends recently for drinks in the lounge at The Roundhouse. Very intimate setting but drinks were way overpriced for the area ($14 for a Pinot noir) and very limited menu. They do not offer any happy hour or drink specials. Waitress was very good, especially considering it was pretty crowded. Ok for a special occasion but too pricey... More

The Roundhouse has a perfect setting in a town usually mobbed with visitors from NYC and SHOULD be doing wonderfully, but our last few experiences were far from pleasant. Thanksgiving was more than disappointing - it was a bad joke. We chose the Roundhouse after googling Duchess Tourism for restaurants serving dinner on Thanksgiving 2016. The Roundhouse was listed with... More

I am not sure that there is a better place to stay in Beacon, but this is not your average premium hotel. The facilities are a campus of three buildings. You check in at the building closest to the river. This building does not appear to be handicapped accessible, but the views from the dining room are tremendous. Most of... More

Six of us went to the Roundhouse for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was fairly empty but wle waited a bit for our seats. The wine list was disorganized as the Prosecco and Rose that I wanted (and that was listed on the wine list) were not available. Having said that, the food that we ordered, varied, was really... Went for lunch and Tap room was open. Windows looking out at waterfall...lovely! Hamburger was cooked to perfection, shoestring fries were great. .. Service friendly and professional. Will definitely be back for dinner. There is a patio for the warmer weather which is right overlooking the falls. Main dining room also has beautiful views.

Everything we wanted to do and see was in walking distance, right on the end of Main Street. So you can walk to all the great food options, Hudson Beach Glass, the park and even the Dia. Really good breakfast too. The room we stayed in was austere in a good/trendy way so if you are looking for frilly with... More

We had an almost execrable meal here. The service was slightly worse than the food, but it's a tight race. Nice real estate and setting, but it's abysmally mismanaged. The steak frites was cold and the bearnaise congealed. They even managed to render an insipid manhattan. Do not go here unless your purpose is masochism.

My sisters and I settled into seats outdoors on the patio and shared a plate of appetizers plus drinks. The setting is gorgeous, with colored lights turned on waterfalls at dusk. The glow of the lights and the sound of the water is a lovely setting. Food was okay and the young waitress was very friendly. We ate breakfast in... More
