Visiting friend at Houghton and needed some coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Place has friendly atmosphere and a great breakfast sandwich. Nothing better than small town restaurants.

French Fries are a must... order the real maple syrup to truly enjoy the pancakes, Chicken & Biscuits, Savory soups which change daily... and one of my dining partners favorite, chili with a spicy but not too hot zip to it.

Have eaten here many times and the food is always made fresh and made to order. Lots of variety. Highly recommend the sweet potato pancakes. Family run and staff are very down to earth. Gets quite busy at times but I have never felt any pressure to leave. Will miss going there when my daughter graduates from college.

My husband and I were on a driving trip to Letchworth State Park in New York. We wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and we saw Ace's Country Cupboard. We ordered bowls of soup, Tuscan sausage and beef with vegetables. The Tuscan sausage was absolutely delicious!! Seasoned perfectly with many vegetables. The beef with vegetables was a hearty... We were in town for a wedding, and the morning after, our innkeeper recommended this place, but warned that it gets busy after church lets out! We beat the church crowd, but the place was packed with all the out-of-towners from the wedding. We managed to get a table, and did have to wait a bit for a waitress to... More

While visiting my daughters at Houghton College I was introduced to this diner. I visited on a Friday evening and was very impressed with the menu, cleanliness, decor and especially the service. It was as if I stepped into my grandmother's kitchen. The menu was primarily comfort foods (which I love) with reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back on... More

A really good local place for home cooked meals and small salad bar. The staff is always friendly. The building is dated but clean.

Always packed! It's the one cafe for many miles and the locals fill it up. Food is typical of a country cafe.

This Mom and Pop place was crowded at lunch time. The prices were reasonable, the servings were large, and the food was good. I have never seen such a big fish sandwich in all my life.

Ace's is not a fancy place and neither is the food, but you get a lot for your money! It's good old fashioned home cooking at its best. We had the fish fry, and it was great, fresh, crispy outside and soft and white and almost sweet it was so fresh inside! (A small one is enough for one person!)... More
