If you are looking for a dark, cellar dining experience, this is your place. If not, go elsewhere, there are plenty of pleasant light filled choices right on Main St. From the outside you think you are choosing a very nice hotel type restaurant with pretty bay windows and curtains. Then you are directed downstairs. To a very dark and almost... More

The Pit has some different items on their menu that catch your eye. I tried the "Elk" Burger which was O.K. Taste just like most "game" ( venison, bison, etc.) burgers. They charge an extra $2.00 for grilled onions -which I think is outrageous. The Cuban sandwich was soggy and not much taste and their fries are nothing special. The service... More

We just visited this weekend for Cooptoberfest and found this restaurant. Two are vegetarian so this fit the bill. We were a bit after the lunch crowd so no waiting. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The orders were a hamburger, elk burger, fish, pulled pork, soup and crab cake. Everyone agreed their meal was great except myself. I had the... More

Walk into the basement entrance of The Pit under... and you are immediately have descended into your Dad's man-cave, that is, if your Mom had given him free reign and a generous decorating budget. Some of the walls are pine paneled and some are natural brick. You will of course find several neon beer promo signs. As mentioned in other... More

We happened upon this place after visiting the Hall of Fame. We ended up eating here twice on our vacation, once for dinner and once for lunch. The seafood bisque can not be beat, so delicious! I also had the avocado BLT and it was fabulous. Prices are very reasonable. Atmosphere is actually really inviting considering it is essentially a... More

The night we went the specials were lobster and prime rib. The food was average but filing. The bread is hot and really good though and the bisque was delicious. All and all a good value in an otherwise pricey town.

My first choice was closed for the season and I'm glad because I went here instead. I ordered a burger with fixin's and boy was it good. Cooked to order with fresh cut fries. Service equally good. Owner on-hand and very personable. Place could use new carpeting.

Good variety of choices and beverages. Minimal ambience. Very attentive service. Not a destination, but good enough if you're staying in the Inn above.

We were looking for a spot for lunch and stumbled on this place. It is like walking back into time, the place is dated, paneled, old tables and chairs and uncomfortable booths. But that is what makes it great. Menu is diverse with just enough options for lunch. Our friend had the pulled pork and loved it, I had the... More
