We were recommended by friends and they told us everything Cabana serves is amazingly delicious. There are only 25 indoor seats available and the restaurant doesn’t take reservations so we highly suggest to visit earlier to beat the crowd. We started our dinner with Mojito,...BACCALAITOS (Crispy-golden salty codfish Cakes with avocado salsa) as appetizer and PARRILLDA (Mixed Grill Platter) as entree to share. The portion was great with reasonable price. The food was overall pretty decent, especially the steak and sausage in the grill platter. The steak was cooked perfectly in medium rare, tender and juicy. The sausage was well-seasoned and flavorful. We had the Tres leches cake for dessert and it was so good & matched with the strawberry ice cream.More

The spot has excellent food and because of the tight fit, it is a great place for an intimate setting like dates. This place is the best Cuban food in the area so definitely take advantage of that. It's been around for a long time...and is always packed. I thought they would jerk me on the portions of food but nope, you can normally have too much food here, which isn't a bad thing, but if you come with a few extra people, just order different meals and share part of your meal with others. I like how they do the chorizos! That's what I did twice here. Very pleased with the service as well.More

Their dishes are amazingly authentic, portions are huge (I encourage sharing), their cocktails are delicious and the service is excellent. Reservations are only accepted for parties of six or more people. Otherwise, go early or be prepared to wait.

Nice small Latin restaurant in The forest hills section of Queens. We met for lunch to celebrate a personal milestone. Good lunch menu with a lot of selections, very accommodating to menu changes. Friendly service. Very challenging to park if you’re driving.

Love the food! LOOOVE the mojitos. Friendly service. Great atmosphere - energetic but not overly loud. Very good service. Has been consistently good since it opened.

That is, we will no longer do business the old way. The portions here are so big, we no longer will get a main salad, the Canana this time, which was meal size and very good. It can be a side salad for up to...four! No, next time it’s two main courses and a side of fried platanos, maybe. I like their typical Cuban dishes which are huge and all have great flavors. For the 1st time I tried Chicarrones which is marinated and fried chunks of on the bone chicken.. no coating. The portion size was such I gave 2 or 3 pieces away and with the mountain of rice with beans it was still filling. The chicken was outstanding. We liked the white sangria. This is modified Caribbean food meaning less of the grease and maybe different flavors than you expect. At lunch you get soup or a sensible salad with your meal, one of Queens great bargains. When you go for dinner consider getting there early.. this is a very popular place and for good reason.More

Went with a friend and the food was amazing, delicious, excellent service. The only negative I can say is that the menu had so many incredible choices that it made it difficult to pick!

We've tried virtually everything on the menu and food has been always good. Our favorites are the steak, paella, and garlic shrimp. Be CAREFUL when selecting a special as they tend to be quite overpriced. Definitely try the to stones - they are huge and...really tasty. Service tends to be "off". They are quick to take your drink order but don't always bring them quickly and consistently fail to check back on whether you want another round in a timely manner - very odd! This said, this is one of my neighborhood favorites.More
