My wife and I tried this restaurant for dinner and liked it enough to return during our week on La Digue. In contrast to some other reviewers, we found our food to be tasty, well-prepared, reasonable in quantity, and a good value. Service at ALL restaurants we ate at this week is slower than what may be encountered in Western... More

After failing to find a place for dinner (Pizzeria without Pizza, restaurant where the waiter just points to the menu instead of bringing you to the table) we went to Chez Marston and had a pleasant evening. Two pizzas, both delicious and a very nice restaurant. Should have gone there first.

We had the creole grilled fish and octopus kebab. The food was well prepared, especially the octopus which I would say is worth a visit on its own. Fair value for money overall, accepts credit cards, good value for money house white wine. With a gekko on the ceiling just above us we had a typical night out meal in... More

This time we were only visiting Le Digue for a snorkling trip to Coco + Feliciti with the afternoon spent on the island and so we couldn't visit without having lunch in the Chez Marston and in particular the smoked fish salad. The service was just as "relaxed" as I remember it on other occasions but the food was just... More

Standard tourist menu, children friendly menu, the food was good (my son said it was the best spaghetti Bolognese he had ever had). We came early, only two tables were occupied when we arrived, but still we had to wait one hour (!) for the food.

Had take-away boxes from this place two times and it was good and tasty and reasonable priced compared to many other places on the island.

Need I say more? Two plates of fish and chips ripped up. I literally caught the contents in my hands as best I could. And managed to flip most of it back on the plates. And then they still put these same plates of food down on the table for people to eat!!

Oh well, not many places to dine and this one seemed busy but the diners' faces should have told me to move to the next restaurant. You could buy and cook yourself a better frozen pizza than the ones served here. The waiting staff are great though, they told us it would be 40 mins for food to arrive and... More
