Dropped in last night to meet family for dinner and drinks, but got the time wrong and got there an hour early. The staff there was gracious, gave us generous pours at the bar, and gave us a tour of the building while we waited. This is what an Innkeeper should be: warm, kind, able to create and maintain an... Warm, charming, inviting, romantic and oh yeah... great food. Groton is a nice quaint old village and the Benn Conger stands out as the place to go for fine dining. Worth the drive from Cortland, Ithaca, Syracuse, etc. Maybe you're lucky enough to live in Groton and if you do I hope you've been there more than once. I don't... More

This place is about 25 minutes from Ithaca. Dined here on a Saturday evening in October. Expected a crowd given the advertised quality of food, and size of dining rooms (several rooms, including, small, large, private, terrace. etc. But only two other tables were occupied. White table cloth. Charming. Casual attire. Menu is more limited than advertised on Inn web... More

We had an excellent time at the Benn Confer. We had a very good overall experience at the bed and breakfast. The owners are very nice people. Thank you for a fantastic evening. We look forward to our next stay.

We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding at the Benn Conger Inn and it was perfect! Doug and Peter went above and beyond to make the weekend so intimate, relaxing and beautiful. We were married in the gazebo and had the reception in the inn. All of the wedding party and family stayed in the inn and at the victorian... More

We had friends visit from out of town and put them up at the Inn. Dinner for 5 was excellent, with each course of every meal perfectly prepared and presented. Our dinner orders ran the gamut, from steak to salmon to chicken, and everything was right on the money, including the service. The staff was friendly and attentive without being... More

As we dined with a group from age 20 to 95, everyone totally enjoyed dinner. The food was freshly prepared and not a plate had anything left.

It's not everyday one can go back in time and touch a piece of history while dining! The Benn Conger Inn is a gorgeous Greek Revival Mansion now serving the public! This place is a must visit if you are anywhere in the Cortland or Ithaca area,it is charming and especially gorgeous during the Christmas season! Peter is a brilliant... More
