We ate about 8pm and they were running out of chicken - I had the beef bushtuckers stew which was so flavoursome. My boyfriend had fish yassa. It was the best yassa of the whole holiday! Definitely worth a meal here. We were pestered by bumsters in the street, who sat on their car and talked to us while we... More

We visited here earlier this year and we sampled some authentic food which was totally delicious! We visited on the recommendation from Alex who is a really nice guy that makes and sells wooden carvings in a small shop around the corner from here, we met him on the beach whilst he was doing a drumming workshop we took part... Not a lot positive to say about boss lady restaurant. We arrived at 8pm in a warm November evening we ordered meals straight away then drinks. We felt a presence in the restaurant. Which sits on the roadside across from kombo beach hotel and the local taxi rank. The presence turned out to be thousands of white butterflies which were... More

Nice staff and short time waiting for food. The staff at the entrance who invite people from the street do it in a comfortable way for the customers.

A lovely small cosy local restaurant. Real local Gambian dishes and totally unpretentious but great food and drink. Well worth a visit. Like someones front room but with good friendly service thrown in. So close to Kombo Beach hotel as well so save your taxi fare !

This is a lively restaurant on the main road opposite Kotu Square specialising in local dishes such as Domada, Yassu, Benachin etc. The menu is very reasonably priced and the food is tasty. There will often be some entertainnment in the evening, usually the inevitable drum band. Worth at least one visit if staying in the area.

Didn't enjoy the food I know it's local cuisine but if your not a fan of rice there is no alternative everything is served with rice . I don't mind rice but my meal was very dry and not enough sauce I had 3 mouthfuls as I just didn't enjoy it as too bland enjoyed captains table more

Livening up Kotu, this is a great outdoor spot to enjoy genuine Gambian food. The menu includes dishes from the Woloff, Mandinka, Fula, Serreh and Aku tribes. Our special Sunday buffet includes interesting dishes not normally found in restaurants. The Jola dance troup entertainment is really good fun.
