Stopped for a late lunch. Had the Shepard's Pie and Brooklyn Lager. So good. The wife had the fish sandwich and squash soup. She says it was delicious. Inside is rather small but the staff is very attentive and ensures little wait. The plus is the American Winery there. Wine and Beer tasting and for sale. Great gift shop. Just... More

Chicken and biscuits stew was a paste. A big glob. the Cuban was passable, that is all. We had to flag down help after two sets of people seated after us were served. Hard to tell who works there with grubby sweatshirts and ball caps on the wait staff. $33.50 for lunch for two. Go somewhere else.

We stopped here for lunch and a wine tasting - the lunch was great (the wine tasting was also great)! The food was amazing, very high quality and a nice variety. We loved it!

The service has improved significantly since last year. The food is always homemade and delicious. Two things I would change are putting more meals without meat and chicken on the menu, and chilling the wine more. It is always too warm.

Wanted to find a local winery cafe for lunch prior to our planned hike at Taughannock Falls State Park. Cayuga Lake Wine Trail website showed the Cafe at Americana, short drive from Taughannock. Glad we stopped! Grace, our waitress was very helpful in explaining everything on the menu. She also explained that everything(bread, sausage even the ketchup and mustard!) was... More

When we arrived shortly after noon, the place was bustling with several buses. We were told the kitchen was overwhelmed and perhaps we wanted to go somewhere else -- we should have listened. Instead we went ahead to taste wine and beer before returning to the cafe. When seated, there was bus remaining and the people were beginning to board... More

Two tour buses were parked in the lot when we arrived for lunch. The staff was bustling about. When I approached one of the staff and asked to be seated, he took my name and told me there would be a 20 minute wait. He was most gracious when I followed up and asked if we could sit at an... More

After reading reviews for this restaurant we were not sure what we'd find. The restaurant is quaint and quirky and the food is the same. We both had eggs benedict. They used focaccia bread instead of English muffins thinly sliced ham (almost shredded), and a scrumptious hollandaise sauce. The combination was exquisite. I had a glass of the local winery's... Ok on the outside may not look that great for some, but service and food......different story. It is small winery with a restaurant. They have live music every day, and I think they close at 8pm. The yhave a home made hot sauce that is to die for. I even "begged" them to buy some. And of course I bought... More
