I stopped in to ask if the Cedar Run sold a mix for corn bread. The answer was "no" but they did have a high quality corn meal on the shelf. Not being much of a baker I asked a few questions about the ingredients, etc. Barbara went back in the kitchen, measured and bagged all the necessary ingredients (including... More

We stopped here to check it out on our way to Lake Placid. Very good variety of items from soups and salads to meals to heat up at home and a large array of baked goods. Person behind counter not very friendly. Prices were VERY high. Over $4.00 for a small box of crackers. But, as I said, great variety... More

Though the sandwiches are pre made, they are fresh and delicious and there's an excellent variety. Salads are also great, delicious and fresh despite being pre made. Baked goods are super and the coffee is excellent. There's lots of other good food to be had too - if you are renting a cabin with kitchen, this is a great place... More

Great sandwiches, baked goods, and prepared meals. Sadly, I can't patronize them anymore as they are just plain rude. I've visited the shop on many different trips, many different times of the year. I kept hoping they were just having a bad day. Went back today, same thing. They treat customers as an imposition.

This quiet spot within the quiet town of Keene, NY is my go-to place when I want something special, and often, sweet! The bakery's offerings of scones, muffins, pies, cakes, and cookies comprise all my summer favorites. If I lived here year round, I would really be in trouble! But the bakery also has frozen homemade foods you can take... More

When you come to Keene you expect certain things : nice people and great food. You can find both at Cedar Run. GLUTEN FREE treats by Mountain Tomboy make the perfect treat for dessert too.

Alright, what sandwich doesn't taste great after a climb up Giant Mountain?! Stopped at this gourmet grocer twice while hiking in ADK. Really enjoyed all I had - great soup, wraps and even a well-made soba noodle salad with shrimp. Decent prices for very high-quality vittles.

This shop is stocked with all sorts of great food. You need to poke around to appreciate it. The bakery is great - we order cakes and pies but they always have some ready to go. Try the blueberry cake, yum. They have a wide variety of frozen appetizers and entrees - try the chicken pot pie. There are lunch... More

Come on, Goat Yogurt in the woods? Yes! So many food delicacies and dietary accommodations (gluten free EVERYTHING) - decadent lemon cookies. Pies! Cheeses! Salads! We loved this place - not compared to some citified deli, but for its uniqueness in the woods! Great ideas for meals - huge inventory. NOT cheap, but totally what we wanted! Oh, the SOUPS... More
